Should I sell now?

Grind grind grind. We just keep grinding as the ground turns to sand before our feet and the foundation we were trying to build falls out from beneath us.

I always hold off on cashing out. After all, the longer you play the game right, the less you have to worry about right?

But at this point just a little cash out will lead to a big upgrade in my quality of life.

The things missing from my life now, mobility, an environment that compliments creativity, exploration and a relationship with my environment. So much of the city only responds to you when you pay to play.

The places to meet people all cost money, to leave costs money, to start anything costs money. And so we save. We grind. We wait for tomorrow when things will be easier.

But really, what is the cheapest and easiest way to make my quality of life better? I’ve spent the last few days thinking about this and here is my plan for cashing out.

A bigger apartment will require more of a regular income and crypto is still not that, plus I am still building my stake here, so a bigger apartment is still not in the cards until I find more students are start earning more from my creative work.

But a new PC will make it easier for me to record music and edit videos. And so I am thinking about cashing out to buy a new one, move my mic to a little corner of the room and my guitar pedals under the table where I can start playing music without having to pack and unpack everything all the time. Wil buy a cheap MIDI keyboard as well.

It’ll be tight but it’s worth it. $1500?

My shoes are falling apart. I desperately need new ones. Two pairs this time, $200.

Setting aside money to pay rent for the months would lift a huge weight off my chest. $1500. Just knowing I have that leeway, all while still having some income, yes! If only Tokyo were as cheap.

A bicycle would make me more mobile within the city. $200. I remember how free I felt when I first got one in Tokyo. The whole city opened itself up to me.

And there’s a music festival in February and another in August and we missed both last year because I can’t go camping with a back cramps and hotel cost to much money. So this time we save for the tickets and hotel and keep the money ready for when the time comes. $600

It may sound like a lot if you live somewhere where rent costs half or a quarter of this, but to anyone in Tokyo or London or Singapore, this probably doesn't sound like a whole lot.

$4000 is all it will take to make a big upgrade to my life. The music studio corner with the new PC and the bicycle make the most difference day to day. The shoes are a necessity at this point, and travel and an emergency fund just makes everything feel more abundant.

Should I push the button and cash out? That’s a significant amount to me still, perhaps it won’t be in another 4 years but I’d like to improve something so that this cycle is more productive and fun, and the sooner the better.

Do I cash out?

I have my finger on the button. I know it’s early on this cycle but I still plan on selling some to hold in stable coins for the next bear market once things really get heated up.

I’m gonna push it. What do you think?

I just spent a significant amount of my savings on something and I struggled for days to make the decision. But in the end I knew it was right, it felt expansive and like the brave thing to do.
I don’t know where it leads but Abundance is always having what I need when I need it, so I just trust that it will all work out 😄
Take your time, eventually you will know what is right for you ❤️
