AMA for all new INLEO users!

Not sure if anyone has done this before. I thought we should have a #threadcast where new users could ask anything and everything about INLEO, Hive, crypto (if they are beginners) and anything relating to this community.

I hope other people help me answer the questions too, I will not always be able to reply right away.

ASK AWAY!!!

Sort:

I read about Solana and when it started at 2018... I believe this is the future of Leo. Solana was Just $0.04 and now $240

Leo has too much potential

lol I don’t think we will reach solans levels but who knows.

I do think Leo will easily reach hives current market cap as hive doubles or triples. That is likely within a few months away.

oh that's also a great rate for Leo. Did you say in a few months? Wow then I'll keep my Leo safe for a long while

How to bring more engagement to your posts and thread? ☮️

Why are you on Hive?

Q. I see a lot of crypto twitter type of content here. Are there any interest for other content?

A. Short version = yes
Slightly longer version:

Q. What's a Threadcast?

A. Threadcasts are really just a live chat environment which initially were used to accompany broadcasts like sports matches, events or X Spaces. They've since become used for general chat around a particular topic...

https://inleo.io/threads/view/adambarratt/re-avaphoenix-29k1r3h3u?referral=adambarratt

Hope this becomes a valuable opportunity for all new users!!

  1. is there a spaces (like on X) on inleo?
  2. so a threadcast is an active thread chat.. what does "Active" mean? How is it different than a regular thread?
  3. what does the little number on my profile pic mean?
  1. No Spaces app currently on Leo. I think it's quite awkward to do and not a priority but who knows in the future. For now, people just use X Spaces in conjunction with a Leo Threadcast.
  2. Best just to open up a few threadcasts and have a look. Better with a live event to see how it operates in real time... not too different from a regular thread but less 'static' I guess, updates more frequently and defaults to latest comment first (as opposed to oldest first). More like a Discord or Telegram channel, and there will likely be more features added in due course.
  3. Reputation. But it doesn't really mean all that much, just increases as you're more active and get upvotes which in theory makes you more reputable ;)

thanks adam!

How do I get my keys if I am signing in with X?

This is a brilliant Threadcast. Would you want to talk about how inleo started?

Heard it was kinda forked from Hive.blog which was also forked from steemit.

#askleo

Hive blockchain was forked from Steem blockchain.

The app/platform of INLEO is built on Hive, no fork involved and very much part of Hive in that sense.

Years ago, it was SteemLeo which then changed to LeoFinance after the fork. A year or so ago it became INLEO reflecting the change in format (microblogging front and centre along with all topics allowed).

steemit.com and hive.blog are front-ends as are peakd.com, ecency.com etc.

wow, well summed up and well understood

Hello @fr6leo you need to be in this threadcast, it's for new INLEO users. Ask any question about Hive and INLEO.

how do you increase your voting power? what happens when you use 100% of your voting power in a day?

I just saw this on trending page. And dropped by to say hi all.

Is the a cap circulation of Leo tokens?

How do you calculate how much RC you'd get based on how much Hive Power you stake.

For example if I stake 50 hives, how much threads can I do before it runs to 75, which I was told refills every 24 hours (25%) or is it 20? 🤔

This is a great idea and should be a permanent thing!

how do you make a post in a community?

What are resource credits and how are they acquired?

Why is this important?

A great idea

@falcon97 @officerwoos @justcallmekevinn @elgenerall @tomonchain @kbieber not sure if you are new at INLEO but if so, feel free to ask some questions here! If not, feel free to tag some new people!

you could say I'm about 6 months new. If you'd consider that new, then count me in friend.

Happy to know you..
.

oh yeah bro, a bit new but been here for like two weeks and I'm getting the hang of it. Trying to keep up with showing up everyday
I think my first goal has to be becoming premium then probably staking LEO

Thank you for this chance
I'll tag you when I got some questions 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Not new but still young on Leo. I'm still a lion cub here 😁

I've been on the chain for a while, it was recently that I started threading and making some Leo friends

@adambarratt is a natural. He is better at this than me lolololol THANK YOU ADAM!

Haha, don't know about that... just jumping in with a couple of earlier interactions

Even if you don't have any questions, come check in to help this reach the top of the page

I've been running into a ton of new users recently and some of them don't know the history of Hive, the hostile takeover, what is hive vs. what is leo? etc.

I think we should always have threadcasts open like this and a bunch of us should get used to checking in and answering questions for new users to help them understand better

Feel free to steal this idea next time, but only if you are going to try and answer the questions you can answer

I'm going to get a little busy soon but I will be popping in for the next few hours in between translating, reading, and getting ready for bed

@avaphoenix feel free to ask your questions here, maybe someone else can benefit and maybe someone else will answer besides me :-D

You will need your keys to cash out and to log in to other hive sites

DON'T LOSE THEM. If you do, you will probably lose what's in your wallet.

Active key or Posting key work for logging in to different sites (peakd, hive-engine, ecency, etc.)

master password can change the other keys and recover your account

memo you don't need to worry about much for now

Thanks for popping in! Do you or @adambaraatt know how to claim keys from a lite account, asking for @avaphoenix (sorry, posted last time in the wrong place)

@ahmadmanga do you know any new users at inleo, if so tag them! let them know they can ask questions here

Sometimes we have spaces actually on X and a live chat as a threadcast @avaphoenix. I like to join the Tuesday AMA's. They usually talk about development updates. There is one going on right now a talk about memes with some guy I don't know yet, link here:

Leo isn't a fork, it started as a blogging community at Hive and still functions in that way but it built it's own front end. Originally it was finance content only but now it's open to everything. I would tag Khal but he is talking in his own threadcast now (meme chat) so he won't notice. we can tag him later or maybe someone else can tell more

Click on "Communities" on the side bar, or if on mobile, the 3 lines on the upper left hand corner. Join the ones that look cool. Then when you post a blog, you can choose under the input part which community you want to post in out of the ones you have joined.

Everyone who joined that community even on peakd ecency and hive.blog, so it's always worth posting in a community!

You may find there are a handful with pretty strict rules. Most are pretty open. I started Cross Culture, but honestly, I don't check it much there days, not enough time. I still post there though and I see a few others do too.

I will be going to sleep now, but feel free to ask some questions, or to check and see if you can answer some newb questions :-D I will answer any unanswered questions when I wake up!
