Thank you @nirvana3003, great recap. And while I agree with your facts, I'm not sure I see an end to the US dream. To be sure over the last few decades there have been several shifts in monetary policy with the last election ushering forth an unmatched exuberance to print money as a way of maintaining control.

But over the last 5 decades, I remember similar concerns about our debt, albeit at much smaller numbers. And, we more or less have continued to move forward. Warren Buffet said something to the effect of never bet against the US. Which I have interpreted to mean the individuals within the US.
