Hello folks, here we go again. Recently we just start with a fresh new season in Splinterland and I can't wait to see those new reward cards and give the new daily 'FOCUS' a try instead of daily quests that only fight for 5 wins. From my perspective, I think it provides incentives for players to battle instead of only do 5 battles to get the daily reward. Anyways, let's see what will be going on. And today, I would like to share an epic battle about SCAVO FIREBOLT, don't forget to have fun watching the battle and enjoy the new giveaway!!

The Battle Rules

ARMORED UP: All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.

My Team

For the ARMORED UP rule set, I will usually go for fire or magic team since the rule set could be an advantage for me. Generally, I will try to skip water team for this since the ability is duplicate for some reason and I think it is a waste. As a result, based on my experience, I can do it for fire team since some fire assassins are fragile but with high damage like the SERPENTINE SPY and KOBOLD MINER.

The Lineup

---

Summoner

The TARSA is a good fire chaos legion summoner that provide decent stats to monsters with 1 melee attach and 1 HP. In the poison rule-set battle, the +1 HP is very important and beneficial. Since I am currently fighting at Gold league, I rented level 5 TARSA as my fire summoner according to my budget for daily quest. And it performs quite well to help me with my quest.

Front Row

Recently, I think I fall in love with the SERPENTINE SOLDIER since I found the potential of its ability on shield and dodge which makes my front tank unbeatable and super tanky. Normally, I rent it at level 4 since it has 5 speed and an extra dodge ability to absorb damage.

Second

The CHAOS AGENT plays a role of lure and shield to protect my third monster: SERPENTINE SPY which is extremely fragile but with high damange. And it is the trick and sense on building line up that I learnt from bots. Since I found most bots place their CHAOS AGENT or chicken before their SERPENTINE SPY in case there are enemy monster with opportunity ability to snipe it out.

Third

Here's Johnny！ I love playing SERPENTINE SPY in every fire battle since it is a very good assassin in my opinion. Low cost but with high damage, and what else? The only thing you need to be aware of is the placing of this little assassin. In other words, if you place it in a wrong position, it dies quickly and nearly contribute nothing.

Fourth

The GOBLIN SHAMAN is a good supportive monster in your fire line up. It is only three cost with weaken and slot ability. Moreover, if you get it to level 3 or above, it get one more extra sweet magic damage. For sure, it is a broken monster in your team which is super powerful and useful.

Fifth

Like what we observed in the chaos edition, some monsters have good stats in terms of health,speed and damage but with little of 0 ability. The SCAVO FIREBOLT is an example since you do not get any ability unless you level up to level 6. However, the bright side is that the SCAVO FIREBOLT has good stats in HP and damage. Personally, I prefer to play my SCAVO FIREBOLT in level 4 since it gets 1 more attack at that level.

Last

The KOBOLD MINER is also another good assassin in fire element that literally share the same use of SERPENTINE SPY. But, the difference is that the KOBOLD MINER has more HP so it is not that sensitive to the position in your line up. As a result, I put it as last spot to protect my team.

Battle Result

It is an easy battle for me since I play my strategy well to protect my core DPS monster. Yup, so far so good. Besides that, fire element is good at low mana battles. So in the future, I hope we can have more high mana monster in fire element to expand the horizon of fire team.

Recap of reward card statistics

Based on the statistics, we are not sitting on the half way to mint all the reward cards. As a result, I expect that we will need another 6 months to mint all those cards. Besides that, the most exciting news is that we are going to have some more new reward cards to collect. For me, I can't wait to collect those powerful cards and sweet power in my collection.
