RE: KOINOS: Started As Fun & Turned Out To Be A Great Investment

Yes @geekgirl ...

"Do you still have your Koins?"

... I still have all of mine, minus a small amount I sold very early on to try and recoup some of the ridiculous ETH fees I incurred during my brief "adventures in mining" ... 😉

Funny thing is, for me it was easy to be a HODLer of this token (along with most ever other ERC20 token in my portfolio), due to the barrier of these ETH fees. I simply did not want to pay them ...

Surprise, surprise! As you say, they are now worth a surprising amount (down at the moment, but still amazing compared to a year ago). I really have no thought / idea what they may become worth.

Right now, it is my intention to HODL through launch of the mainnet. We'll see from there ...

For more the sake of the team who has built this up from scratch than for my own profit, I do hope KOIN ultimately amounts to something more than a temporary "flash in the pan" ... I always like to see people succeed. Especially if they have worked very hard to achieve their dreams.

I don't normally use ETH or anything on ETH either due to the gas fees. But recently some friends convinced me that paying gas fees is ok when there are profits to be made. So I tried, and it didn't seem too bad. Paying $100 seems a lot, but there no other way. :)

I will also try to hodl at least some Koins for longer time. I too hope it will work out as they have planned and it will become a useful and innovative blockchain.

Thank you @roleerob. Always great to hear from you.

Yes, I guess ...

"Paying $100 seems a lot, but there no other way. :)"

... but I just can't make sense of it myself. Particularly when there are now so many EVM-based blockchains offering similar opportunities for a small fraction of the cost and far greater settlement speeds.

Maybe there is some opportunity on ETH that doesn't exist anywhere else AND (see what I did there, with a common programming word for Boolean statements ... 😉) offers an ROI > anything available anywhere else. In that case, I might reconsider ...

I think the biggest challenge for all of us is knowing where these opportunities are and, then, deciding which offer the best combination of ROI, while maintaining the highest security and safety.

Always enjoy reading your posts, when I have the time to catch up a bit! 👍🙂
