The UK government had a plan to block porn nationwide if porn sites didn't do KYC to prevent minors from accessing them.

They dropped it last year. I think they found out what was obvious to most Internet users to begin with: it could be easily circumvented using a VPN.

Also, the whole idea of going through KYC to browse porn is hilarious.
