Precisely One Tank In Victory Day Parade In Moscow Today

Only one historic T-34 tank was displayed on the Red Square in Moscow in this year's parade. In addition, a few dozen modern armored cars, infantry fighting vehicles, S-300 anti-aircraft missile launchers, and a few nuclear missile trucks took part in the parade. In 21 cities, the parade was canceled altogether. A pyrotechnic device flown by onto the roof the Kremlin a few days ago, for which Ukraine was accused, was the official reason why the parade was closed to the public and downscaled significantly this year.

I think the main reason was that the Russian military has suffered such heavy casualties that there isn't much heavy equipment to spare for parades in addition to those that are deployed in Ukraine right now. Immortal Regiment marches were also banned this year. The Immortal Regiment marches are mass events started in 2012 where the family members of those killed in WW2 or later wars carry the photographs of the dead.

Even the border regions elsewhere, including the Far East and the Northwest, have had much of the heavy equipment redeployed to Ukraine. That fact proves without any doubt that NATO does not threaten Russia's existence or its borders in any way and that the Kremlin very well knows it.

Recently, I had a conversation with one ardent fan of Putin on Hive who thought Russia was going to invade and occupy the whole of Europe in the near future. Most people on Hive don't like to discuss politics and that's understandable because among those who prefer to do so there are many crackpots.

[Shit, I intended to post this in LeoThreads. The interface needs work.]
