I asked myself that very same question one time and like you I quickly came to the conclusion that Splinterlands rentals easily earn me more then my created content on the Hive network does. I don't adjust everyday although I do a small amount of adjustments throughout the season. Its the last day that I basically work all day listing and adjusting prices. I very passively earn roughly 5,000 DEC a day until EOS and then gold strikes. The last EOS 24 hours of rentals grossed me about 55,000 DEC.
I onced read on here a couple years back that posting content is the hardest way to grow ones account on here and I 100% agree. It took me a good year to earn 500 "HIVE". I can smash that in one day with Splinterlands earnings. Its insane to think there's still people on the Hive Network that haven't joined Splinterlands. The ROI is there danging in their face. They just need to reach out and grab it.
Damn I really underdid it with this seasons' EOS - I only managed 40K, but I was out all day harvesting Olives so couldn't optimise. It's worth being in and really focussing for just that 24 hours I agree.
TBH I think curating with HIVE might be even worse than posting!
Don't forget it's harder getting in late - easy for us as we got in on SL much earlier, but I know what you mean, swapping some Hive for DEC would be a no brainer for some of those SPS rewards at the very least!
