Splinterlands has been through a lot over the period of time. It has strike its peak during the good old days, while there were times it was on the brink of going down to another chain or probably worse. Although, even after all those Splinterlands has been able to give its best in its own way. Keeping the game up and running and slowly improving the game, wherever it is necessary. The recent proposal of HIVE DAO has been ongoing and a steady cashflow is happening. Which is probably being utilized in proper way. As we are regularly being pinged in Discord regarding the updates taking place in the game. I suppose we will probably see some good ROI in the coming days.
The peak question arises, when is the right time to invest in Splinterlands? Technically, there is no correct answer to that. Or to be more precise there is no exact time or entry point to say that this is where I will enter the gaming world of Splinterlands. So given the facts that a steady inflow of cash is coming and the team is considering all types of ideas and coming up with different types of approach is something amazing to look out for. Also not to forget that a strong community is out there backing up the game and they are supportive of the game in all the way.
Recent updates :
@sps.dao has a whooping 1 million HIVE staked in its wallet. Which is actively curating Splinterlands contents on HIVE. Which is generating a constant amount of HIVE everyday. I suppose in the coming months we will see the results of this curation being reflected in its account (HP).
HIVE Backed Dollars (HBD)
Not to forget SPS.dao account has little over 100k HBD staked in its account. Which is also generating a decent amount of returns on this approach. I suppose the team will keep on increasing this balance so that in the coming days, it will just come in handy.
Community Poll: Should Splinterlands run Ads?
A community poll is running by @bravetofu! Where SPS staked users can share their POV regarding this matter. As this will probably make a pretty nice impact in the game economics. As there are thousands of matches are being played everyday and if it comes into play, this will probably make a nice impact for the game's economy. There are various ways how the output from the funds can be utilized coming from this ad source.
- BUY back DEC from the market
- Buy back SPS from the market (burn them/distribute them as Tournament rewards)
- BUY SPS/DEC and simply burn them out from circulation
- BUY cards from the market and burn them making cards more scarce in the market
- BUY cards from the market and create a DECK for new players to play (Via renting)
there will be multiple opportunities arising if we get to see this comes into affect. Also not to forget ads are one of the most annoying things available in the internet. That might also act as a double edged sword for us all.

Heis playing the major role out in here. He is doing his best in giving the best output for us all. That being said, if you notice his he is a whale in HIVE blockchain (In terms of HP). He has a whooping 810k HP in his balance. He literally could have used this HP for any purpose he likes but instead he is trying to support the content creators of Splinterlands (Via following the trail of Steemmonsters)
Yaba, is following the trail of Steemmonsters. Which is the official HIVE account of Splinterlands, where curators of Splinteralnds are actively curating contents in HIVE. If you are a cintent creator and are doing SPlinteralnds related contents you might have noticed the vote from Steemmonsters and its alliances have significantly increased. And if it continous to go this way, it will keep on increasing in the coming days. So in together now a content creator (if he is selected by the curators of Splinterlands) should get a big chunk worth of upvote from all the affiliates of Splinterlands. Which is also one of the most strong points in this regard.
So do not forget to share your thoughts in the form of posts in Hive blockchain. As a curator of Splinterlands, I along with my other curators, we are scouring the HIVE Blockchain for contents to curate :)
So, I would just say, Splinterlands is making progress and if it continues to do so, who knows we might a well see the good old days of Splinterlands. So do your due diligence and keep on playing the game and building your assets : )
