My Crypto Journey with Splinterlands

When I joined crypto in 2019 that time I never thought I would come such a long way. I started my journey as a blogger in a blockchain-based social media platform and even I was not at all good in writing that time. I still think that there is a lot to learn for me as a blogger and to be honest I don't want to consider myself better because I believe that if I do then I will stop learning. Every day is a learning for me here and that is something I enjoy a lot on this platform.

Joining the splinterlands game was one of the best decisions that I had taken after almost one year of joining this wonderful community and this game was completely new to me. I was not at all aware of these many cards having different ability so I decided to do some study about the game and card first. I must say that @kenny-crane has been a great support as I reached out to him through Twitter and he made me understand more about the game. I used to lose lots of battles earlier and I did not know that with each lost battle I also loos some DEC tokens which I could have earned if I win.

Within 3 months, I was able to grab much information about splinterlands and then I started enjoying the game. I started buying new cards and even started participating in social media and battle share challenges that helped me to earn and I used this amount to invest in my game. Earning through content creation helped me to add more value to my game account and it also helped me to learn more about the usage of various cards. I used to watch my battle share post to see how other players are playing. I never sold my DEC earnings instead I used DEC to buy packs, cards, and lands, etc.

Its been more than 1 and a half years with splinterlands game and now today I can say that splinterlands has made things amazing and I am sharing what I am holding with Splinterlands-

DEC Tokens

I own more than 87k DEC tokens and I did buy some when the price was low with a thought that I will these later when the price will grow but now my mind is changed and I am not going to sell. I re-invested approx 200k DEC in-game to buy cards, packs and lands, etc.

DEC price has gone and maybe its because HIVE price is increased so it has affected DEC price and my current DEC holding is worth 698 DEC which is anyways $600 approx.

SPT Tokens

There are two ways to accumulate SPT tokens. Either we can write splinterlands content and use SPT tag and earn tokens or we can buy from hive-engine but I never purchased this token however I never sold as well. Never thought that SPT can also be so valuable that it is not else I would surely purchase some but this is not a new thing in the crypto space.

Now I am pretty close to having 100k SPT tokens all of it is staked. I even keep on staking time to time and delegated it to @monster-curator who pay me SPT liquid tokens daily. Its unbelievable but true that my current SPT holding itself is more than 1700 USD.

SPS Tokens

SPS airdrop is something that has changed the scenario and I am sharing what I am earning with this airdrop. I get approx 40 SPS every day and in the last 44 days of airdrop, I have accumulated 2199 tokens in total. The current value is more than $600 but it does not matter to me since I have no plan to sell SPS and will hold for the long term. Since I get approx 1200 tokens in a month so I expect that I will have a minimum of 15k tokens in a year and if the value stays at even $0.50 then I can easily approx 8K after the year but again its crypto and anything is possible. Looking at the current growth I expect it to be over 1$ and in that case, the value will be amazing and sure more than 15k USD.

I keep on checking my account value in splinterlands discord from time to time and my current account value is approx 5k USD which is another great thing. Here is the snapshot of my account and what it is consists of.

So if I summarise everything then I can say that a single game has opened a bunch of opportunities to earn and I easily expect that I will end up having assets worth 25k USD by end of one year from now if the growth rate remains the same. Some people have made their fortune with splinterlands as their account value is in millions but for basic players like me, this value is not less than that.

My journey has been amazing so far and I am sure that this will be even more fun and rewarding in the coming years since the project is growing and lots of new players are coming to this platform.
