xPOLY was not airdropped; POLYCUB was.
No need to airdrop CUB since it is already distributed. People will likely be able to stake their CUB to xCUB, and watch the go up forever mechanism take place.
The next airdrop will be for the next blockchain the eventually roll out on.

I think xCUB would come as a result of a CUB holder staking it.
