Women are underrepresented in the tech space. I realized that more women can be involved when I started taking courses on software engineering and I discovered that some of my peers are also women, this got me really excited and reassured that women have started taking the place of possibilities, this is enough fact to evidence that we can connect, network, grow, inspire and influence our society.
This also has shown that women have risen up their heels to take up the challenges of life its reality; stepping out of the boat and walking on water, and solving global problems.
Software Engineering is very diverse and more women should be involved in it's diversity to bring about more ideas and solutions.
Being a woman in tech means building a strong network of supporters. Her team is diverse, with men and women of all colors and backgrounds and all interests. She and her teammates make mistakes together and learn from each other through collaboration/teamwork.
Getting more women enrolled early in tech clubs where awareness of the possibility of what a girl child can be; not stereotyped to having dolls as toys alone, awarding scholarships to women as a form of encouragement, incentives like laptops can also be awarded. This would increase the number of women in tech and also help improve their interest.
