It’s all about Russia
Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska just issued a stark warning. He believes that if the U.S. takes control of Venezuela's massive oil reserves it could be a "total disaster" for Russia's economy.
Why does this matter?
Venezuela holds the world's largest proven oil reserves, a staggering 303 billion barrels. Right now, Russia's economy runs on energy exports. Deripaska claims the U.S. plan is to use this control to cap Russian oil prices at just $50 per barrel. That would cripple their main source of income.

Bigger Than Just a Price Tag
This isn't just about the price of oil. It's about global power.
With Venezuela, the U.S. and its allies could influence up to half of the world's oil reserves. It takes a key energy partner away from China weakening their strategic position.
It shows a major shift in how powerful nations operate potentially reshaping alliances worldwide.
The message is clear: in today's world, oil isn't just a commodity it's the ultimate strategic weapon. Control it and you control the game.
Always DYOR!
Sincerely

Oil has long been a weapon.
Oil Shock of 1973-74

From the vantage point of policymakers in the Federal Reserve, an oil embargo by Arab producers against the U.S. further complicated the macroeconomic environment of the early 1970s.

Russia is already in trouble with embargo and cheap oil.
Now they face even bigger problems and China too.
