In Nigeria, precisely in Akwa Ibom State. We eat this local delicay with our hands, some do use spoon to eat. This is called 'ekpankukwu' in our dialect. It is the best of all dishes.

hat sounds good and reminds me of a Brazilian dish called "charuto" (stuffed cabbage rolls). I would like to try that dish someday; perhaps I'll pay a visit to Nigeria someday!

I will personally welcome you with our local dishes. Yeah you can try. Thank you.

  • I would have loved to see how the inside is without the leaf. What do you use to make this food? It looks like MOI moi in my culture. I am curious to know the ingredients used in preparing ekpaankukwu

Woo, the inside will be like banana pudding without the leaf. You can use vegetable leaf or potatoes leaf to roll. The ingredients are; perewinkle, fish, crayfish, pepper, meat, water yam with cocoa yam mixed together.

It looks interesting. What is it made of? I love gastronomy, maybe I should have studied that.

Thank you, it is made of, water yam and cocoa yam and vegetable leaf for wrapping.

This looks like a nice dish. Is "epkankukwu" eaten with sauce or just eaten without sauce...

The best of foods are the green ones, they are the healthier ones.
This will definitely go with the hand

Ohhh I haven’t tried this before, I guess there are so many Meals that I haven’t tried.
