A big question: Democrats and Republicans who do you think favors the tech industry of America the most?

Sort:

Tech is made up mostly by people on the left. This coincides with the Democrats shift to the billionaires, favoring them. Silicon Valley is a very leftist place.

That said, this cycle people realize that Trump is far better for their business than Harris. A lot of tech billionaires are either pulling back (ala Zuckerberg) or going pro Trump (ala Musk).

Of course, the true power lies with the lobbyists and the greasing of hands in Congress. At that level, I would say they simply are dealing with whichever parts has power and can get things done for them.

Now, if I've got tech questions I'll just ask you not Google or gpt 😅 because your answers are just perfect. I understand it now. I also see why Elon supports Trump so much now.. it's all about what favors them the most at any given time.

The Elon Musk and Donald Trump relationship probably has to do more with the freedom of speech and the attacks on X as compared to other things he is doing in tech.

But that is just a guess.

The Biden Administration has continually gone after Musk, including Biden saying that Mary Barra led in turning US automotive to electric.

it's no wonder he had to make this decision you really can't blame the guy. I follow politics a lot but it's funny how now for some reason I'm following Musk, I guess it's because he's so involved right now.

The problem is everything is becoming politicized that people are having to decide. Unfortunately, it will not be resolved, only generate more anger. This is going to end up causing major divisions that cannot be united.

Sides are being drawn.

I hope this doesn't lead to some sort of Civil war in the country.
