I mean, with regards to the Covid Is The Flu bit... of course that's the case. That's how viruses work, it was always going to become less deadly and eventually be just another virus we catch like the flu and the common cold. The fact that the governments of the world misrepresented it as "something we can wipe out in 2 weeks" was always horseshit. We just had to wait until it got through a few billion people and mutated enough to maximize spread and minimize deaths... so it can do what every virus ever wants to do: infect and survive.

But trust the government to fuck up a painfully obvious message in the way most probable to set two forces at each-other's throats. Incompetent morons, the lot of 'em.
