In my previous publication I addressed the issue of the importance of empowering people to consolidate democracy in communities that make cryptocurrencies their escape mechanism against the abuses of the fiduciary model; for this it is necessary to generate forms of governance that allow driving this intra-community relationship within the spaces that use decentralized cryptocurrencies.
An important measure to establish new forms of governance based on the empowerment of the community is related to the power of the vote, a fundamental piece in the economic structure and relationship between members in certain social networks, such as our #hive blog or #leofinance. In the real world, voting is a voluntary fact, it is performed as a personal act of conscience or citizen morality, principles that are maintained on the virtual and cryptographic plane thanks to blockchain technology.
But voting in the crypto plane goes beyond choosing an option, it means that you intend to finance an idea, a project or proposal which implies that there is a commitment to the activities exposed by the author. In this sense, in the virtual world, the form of governance will be established in terms of convincing the community around projects and proposals that benefit the collective. By relying on the anonymity that characterizes blockchain technology and the legal framework offered by smart contracts, the new democratic model in the intangible space will emerge as an instrument that will change humanity.
In the real world as in the virtual world we love to give our opinions, establish our points of view and defend everything we consider fair, however in the decentralized social networks these rights are increasingly consolidated and consolidated to the extent that the community is empowered by the spaces it assumes. In this sense, those who assume the functions of government must take into account that their proposals will be based and protected in smart contracts, so that if the project they lead wins, it will be executed without being modified in the process.
Likewise, in a decentralized environment, the arbitrariness and attacks against freedom of expression that characterize the best-known social networks (such as Twitter, Facebook or Instagram) have no place in these spaces, precisely because the blockchain and crypto philosophy and the will of the community to strengthen empowerment mechanisms prevail. Obviously, to consolidate this form of governance the community must establish fair and attractive reward mechanisms, in addition to always being at the forefront in terms of advances in technology, especially in the protection and entrenchment of the blockchain and the inclusion of artificial intelligence as a tool to support the ecosystem rather than a form of Facebook-style human control.
I may be accused of being naïve for presenting this kind of micro-treatise on governance in virtual spaces, but these kinds of debates will be raised in a few years, as many realize that our behavior and social life in the virtual world will be as relevant and important as the one we live in reality. Also, humanity is shaping up to evolve to become a dual species, that is, with two types of lives where each being will have a real personality and a virtual one and both relevant to the individual, so the next wars that will dispute will be for the control of what we do in the almost virgin world of virtual life.

Thank you @seeme for your comment, the approach I set out in both this and the previous post implies that we are heading towards a great debate where two different models will fight to be the scheme to follow in the virtual world.
