The first time I heard of a blog that was built on the crypto blockchain was Steemit, my friends were into it back in 2019. They explained how different people from across the world wrote articles and were being paid in crypto currency. I never bought the idea that time, can't give into what I don't trust I thought plus nobody told me crypto currency was going to be the next big thing. I never could tell if they made progress with it. The last I heard of it was during the lockdown. I remember calling one of them, asking if they were still into "writing articles" on the crypto space. He said he left because it seemed like small progress to him.
I dabbled into a lot of things during the lockdown, learnt a bit of forex, took a course on affiliate marketing, attend digital marketing classes, anything that'd help me make money while I sat at home. A lot people were talking about the crypto space online so I figured I try it too. Started with learning about web3 and alt coins, then moved to spot an futures trading.

My biggest problem back then was swapping coins. As easy as it was, it took me a long time before I grasped the concept of swapping coins. I started to understand how Blockchain worked but I didn't go back to Steemit, rather a trader than a writer. The first ever coin I traded was Ecoin, when it got listed on Hotbit, flipped $10 to $174 in three days, pretty awesome. It went well for a while until the dip came and I had to cut my losses. Fast forward to 2021, I had a friend introduce me to Hive back in November. I didn't waste anytime, I remembered how Steemit passed me by in 2019 but I was ignorant and it wasn't going to happen a second time. Made my introduction post, joined communities and started my journey. I was off to a rocky start, maybe because it was the first time I blogged on the Blockchain.
I got the hang of it after a while with help from a few friends and here I am. There are a lot of unexplored places here for me but I'll take it one step at a time. My next phase in to trade internally. I didn't even know I could do that with leodex. My initial plan was to save up enough hive and move it to Binance, since I was already familiar with the interface.
Leodex is more direct and it's safe. I'm sure a lot of bloggers didn't know they could trade internally. Not just hive, Leo and more coins you've stored up in your hive engine.

My next phase would be moving from blogging to trading and after that, maybe I'll check out the play to earn games too.
So far, blogging on hive has started to set me up. I fixed my phone, got a new power bank and I'm planning to fix my power generator, so I don't have to think about not having power supply for a while. I'm trying to get acquainted with the leodex interface. It shouldn't be hard since I've found the buy and sell order buttons. If anybody reading this has tips, or could reference any post made regarding internal trading on hive, I would appreciate that very much. For now, I'll do the saving up until I have enough and continues to read the charts of hive, you can never go wrong with price action.

I actually just recently learned how easy it is to trade using the Interal dex. Now I do it all the time in TribalDex. To transfer HIVE into Hive-Engine, I used HivePay. Next time I'll give SwapHive a try, as it has the lowest fees.
Here's a post on various swap bridges that you might find useful.
Thank you for the info, I really needed it and thanks for the referenced post too, I'm checking that out now.
I'm happy to help. I hope it's useful! 🙏 💚
