I think Hive has a great community! That's one of the advantages Hive has. However, through different social media dapps, other chains have great communities too like Farcaster & Base.
To be totally honest, dapps and features on Hive are way outdated in my opinion. Also, Hive is missing good DEXs. Splinterlands is probably the only A tier dapp at the moment while Inleo is definitely getting there. Most games on Hive feel like someone's hobby created in spare time.
Still, a dapp is a dapp and quality is quality. Yeah, I know about LeoDEX, used it also but can't really see a major use case for it. It becomes cheaper to send assets from H-E to CEX (or vice versa) and do swapping on there. The UX is pretty good though, nothing new compared to Jupiter or Uniswap but then again, DEX doesn't need to be that fancy anyway.
Besides the ones already mentioned, there's also Lens protocol and Farcaster, and on the web2 side, there's X, formerly known as Twitter which is very similar to Inleo.
