Explaining the Flying and Dodge Abilities

Today I'm going to talk about the Spark Pixies card, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.

As I've mentioned in other posts, I'm a big fan of older edition cards, and Spark Pixies is one of those cards. It will be a great ally when it comes to making your opponent angry by watching their monsters miss several attacks.

This is the Spark Pixies card. It's a rare card with 8 levels; at each level, its stats increase and it gains more abilities.

I like Spark Pixies because it costs little mana, so I can easily use it in battles, but what makes Spark Pixies a great card is the combination of its speed with the Flying and Dodge abilities.

Spark Pixies has 3 abilities: Flying, Stun, and Dodge.

mm.png

Flying: +25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake.

This is my favorite ability when it comes to dodging attacks, and as a bonus, it's useful in the Earthquake battle rule.

Stun: 50% chance to apply Stunned for one round after a successful attack. Stunned units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate.

I didn't mention this ability before, but it's very helpful in battles because it has a chance to turn one of the opponent's cards useless for one round, and that can make a big difference in the outcome of the battle.

Dodge: +25% chance to evade physical attacks.

Combining this ability with Flying, the Spark Pixies card will easily dodge many attacks, but unfortunately, it has low health, so it can be easily defeated if it takes damage.

Now I'll show you how I use the Spark Pixies card in my battles.

Watch The Battle

I always select the Spark Pixies card in the last position because that way I'm more protected against monsters that have the Sneak ability, but in this battle there wasn't any monster like that, so the only advantage of the Spark Pixies card was its high speed to attack first and deal even more damage with the Explosive Weaponry battle rule.

Explosive Weaponry: All units have Blast (deals an additional 50% damage to units adjacent to the target, rounded up).

When this rule is in effect in battle, the Fire deck is one of my favorites because it has the summoner Conqueror Jacek, and he helps a lot to take full advantage of the Blast ability.

With the amount of speed that the Spark Pixies card had in this battle, it would be very difficult for any monster to hit it.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
