We're starting a $0-$10 challenge in crypto, which we'll document via orginal HIVE, TikTok and YouTube content. By the end of this first post you'll learn two ways to start going from $0-$10 in crypto!
For this challenge we'll be using a mix of blockchain games, dapps, social media, blogs, airdrops, giveaways, and community offerings to accomplish this goal first goal. Sounds horrible right?
While earning $10 may seem fairly low, the challenge is really about learning how to earn anything from nothing in crypto. The $10 valution of the challenge is just a milestone in what we hope will turn into a broader educational series on blockchain, gaming, content creation and web3 developments.

A little about me. I'm Smurf, CMO of MoneyMatchGaming, an online competitive gaming community which uses blockchain technology to fund esports events and help develop our idea of a modern arcade, currently hosted in the MMG Discord.
When I first got started in blockchain, I was skeptical. I didn't want to spend any money on something I barely understood. It's not like I had much to invest anyway. However, I was curious. I'd seen movies like Wolf of Wallstreet, which if you haven't seen it, I almost feel like it's a must! Anywho -- especaially due to that movie, I was skeptical, but I also understood there was massive potential, and potentia in something that's really going to happen, a "Steve Madddden" moment, if you will. So, I invited $0 and a lot of time doing research. I turned that $0 into $2000 in a matter of months! It was the most money I'd ever gotten from something that wasn't my full time job and I was hooked. I had to learn more about about why it was possible, and how the things that these giga-brains were clammering about in their tech-speech.
My story is what I'd consider to be a typical crypto guy or gal (I hate saying crypto bro, it's sexist and discourages women from wanting to be associated with crypto) story, lined with a few hallmarks that most crypto vets and OGs would agree on. Speaking of hallmarks, it's about time I change the topic and introduce the first task of getting into crypto.
How To Go From $0 to $10 Challenge

That's, "do your own research". This,"not your keys not your coins", and "be the bank" are the bedrock of getting into crypto. No seriously, remember those.
So, first, if you're starting at ground zero, you'll want to begin by learning about Bitcoin and a few terms: ledger, wallet, and blockchain. You'll also want to learn about things like money, banking, and trading.
Here is a brief description of each of these terms:
Ledger - a digitial or physical place where records of transactions are stored.
Wallet - a digital wallet for users to store and manage their cryptocurrencies.
Blockchain - a shared, immutable (not able to change) ledger that facilitates the process of recording transactions and tracking assets.
Money (fiat) - a type of currency that is declared legal tender by a government, but has no inherent or fixed value, and is not backed by any specific tangible assets.
Banking - an industry that handles cash fiat, credit, and other financial services for individuals and buisnesss.
Trading - the buying and selling of assets (goods and services).
The trick about doing your own research is to not stop at just one source, one sitting, one day. You should have a phase of continual research on that topic you're researching. This is not to say that you'll always be learning only about this topic, but you should be committed to coming back to the topic and educating yourself on new developements and older things that you've yet to learn.
