Yeah well sometimes you have to toss in the towel.
My only suggestion is that once you make a decision, do not turn back on it. I find that is always a mistake.
So right you are. I have made that mistake twice with this one. Next time, and most likely soon, it sticks. I have forgiven and they refuse to change, or even admit there is a problem.
Of course, there are always two sides to any given situation like this. Perhaps I am the problem. But either way it leads to the same decision.
