The winter of one of the most futuristic tech concepts I have described is a pair of eyeglasses, which could do much more than correct your vision. You could use your eyeglasses to connect with the world around you like never before. Consider headsets that let you do video calls and instead of holding your hand that makes you concentrate on the screen, you are in front of the person as if the person is in the same room with you.

It is one thing to engage in a phone call or a video call – but it always seems still rather unpersonal, doesn’t it? It is like having your friend sign to you, your ear and eye taking in their image but the overall feel of a companion being with you is not there. These glasses would not only be visible transparent screens; they would take the concept of augmented reality so far ahead. Now, think that when peeping through your spectacles, your grandma is smiling right beside you, or the officer you are discussing with is right in your working station. The level of closeness this kind of technology can foster in communication would greatly transform how it is done.
