I know what you’re thinking, it sounds ridiculous. How could we live under a totalitarian world order? How could we, the “freest” people on earth, live under such illusions?
Very simply, because we have been programmed since birth to believe what we are told by figures who hold positions of power and authority over others. You know who I’m talking about, I don’t have to name names. I don’t have to go down the conspiracy rabbit hole to prove anything to you, because all of this information is public domain and easy to see for yourself.
The world is not what you think it is. Reality has been altered to such a degree that few actually realize what has happened in the past 400 years. You might wonder, what the heck is he talking about? The United States was founded in 1776, upon THE Declaration of Independence, right? The US Constitution was written in 1787 and ratified by the so-called “states” into law in 1788, right?
How could we live in a totalitarian world order when WE THE PEOPLE rule the United States? Well, because none of that is true. You have been misled to believe that you have rights guaranteed to you as a citizen of the United States, which the Constitution enshrined into federal law. The only thing the Constitution ever did, was place limits on what the government could do, there was never any application upon private enterprises, especially those that were multinational monopolies.
You know who I’m referring to. The Dutch United India Company, aka the Dutch East India Company and the Dutch West India Company. Who do you think founded New York? It had little do with the English, as you have been indoctrinated into believing. The Dutch built New York before the British monarchy assumed oversight of the area, under the guise of “colonization.”
Americans are so far-removed from their own history, it’s incredible to see in action. But, I thought the Constitution protected my rights?! The government can’t just censor speech it disagrees with, that violates the First Amendment! Well, maybe that was truly the original intention, but, it’s just a damn piece of paper, as George W. Bush so infamously said.
If the US Constitution is just a piece of paper, then there is no precedent for enforcing it as de-facto law. The Declaration of Independence - you guessed it - just another piece of hemp paper, which has zero enforcement mechanisms. It’s just a declaration written down on paper by a very small, select group of radical residents of the European-owned colonies, that’s it. It isn’t what you’ve been taught to believe. You have no rights, because, rights can’t be taken away - privileges, on the other hand, can be easily revoked.
So if what is said in the above paragraph is true, who actually controls the United States of America? It certainly isn’t the so-called “president” or even “vice-president,” those are just labels. They’re meaningless - Trump proved that to be the case when he attempted to withdraw all US military forces from Afghanistan. The US military-industrial complex dictates foreign policy, not WE THE PEOPLE of the United States.
If we truly had sovereignty, wouldn’t we just..revoke all foreign military financing? Wouldn’t we just…revoke all foreign aid? It's obvious the US government won’t even help its own citizens, yet it jumps through hoops to throw hundreds of billions of dollars every year at OTHER countries, which then embezzle and steal the majority of the aid intended for the citizenry.
If you’re beginning to doubt the reality you have believed in, good. You shouldn’t trust what the government says about anything. It is in their vested financial best interests to lie about everything they can. This has been the status quo since long before 1776….which leads us towards the modern era.
As Americans, we are told from a very young age that the United States is the greatest country on earth, with the freest people in the world. We are told that we fought for our independence from the British crown. The British crown was never our real enemy. They were and remain to be just vassals, subservient to the real rulers of the world...

The sad thing is that all of the rights "guaranteed" by the constitution have slowly been eroded away through apathy and attrition of the people.
In America we have become soft. Especially myself. I just blithely let the government tell me what I can do, where I can go, how I can get there and who with.
As it pertains to cryptocurrency, one of the biggest issues with it's quick adoption is laziness. If I would just secure my own keys and passwords it wouldn't matter what the government did. That however requires work :-)
Just yesterday, I heard about LastPass having some kind of breach (purportedly not involving private information -- yeah right) and I had some anxiety about my security. What did I do about?
Worry....
Cause you know I have like a bajillion passwords in there. I would have to spend hours and days getting them all out, creating new ones and securing everything. Well maybe I will... I don't know.
That's what I mean. If everyone just did what they should as sovereign beings the governments wouldn't have a shot, but that's not human nature.
The sad and hard truth, that we don't want to face, is you only get to keep the rights you're willing to fight for. We won't do that until we are desperate and the sociopaths know that.
Haha! Rant off. Now I am going to go and worry some more about what I am gonna do about the LastPass "breach" :-)

Right on my brother. I heard about the LastPass hack, sounds bad. I like KeePassXC more, it's also not connected to the internet, only stored locally, and backed up elswhere

Yeah. That's my point. I know what is best, but just couldn't be arsed to do it because convenience.
The only small imaginary consolation is that there are millions of others in the same boat. Yeah. No consolation.
I may be getting a lot of new passwords/accounts/wallets in the next day or so. Hope it's soon enough.
Time to get some P2P Monero with cash onto a never networked hardware/paper cold wallet.
Actually that reminds me of a nice protocol for just this thing that I read a while ago for this very thing. It is a bit overkill... but maybe not.
Glacier Protocol
Ha! I mean I think I was in bitcoin when armory came out..so I have absolutely no excuses.

Interesting, I, myself have 4 hardware wallets, currently, but will be looking for another few for isolated Monero cold storage storage

Once again, I have one but have not been using it for a while....

I would say it's a best practice in crypto, never trust exchanges and never leave anything anywhere in hot storage that you can't afford to lose access to or control of at any time. I view the centralized exchanges as the biggest systemic risk to market stability out of everything
