Couldn't Musk make a carbon copy of Hive, improve it, privatize it, pass it off as a #web3, and use it for X?

    The incentive structure isn't there for Web2

    If you are already massively adopted on Web2, its better to keep control of the power than become truly decentralized

      All Hive has going for it is the censorship-resistant base layer.

      Any Hive fork that is then 'privatised' through $HIVE2 coin distribution, loses that censorship-resistance and thus becomes worthless.
