What Norway can do to become more attractive for startup founders

in LeoFinance3 years ago

Today I was invited to the Norwegian Parliament to a discussion about what Norway can do to attract foreign talent and workers. My input was straightforward: speed up the processes with a startup visa. Today people sometimes wait 6-12 months for an answer if they can stay or work, it’s outrageous and slow. Kyle from the US got kicked out because he chooses to grow his company instead of taking out a big salary, which is also crazy. Norway has a long way to go to become startup-friendly for people outside the EU, and I was super happy to see that some members of the Parliament are taking action and listening to us entrepreneurs about what changes can be done.

Progressive thinkers are key to any countries development. I haven't been to Norway yet, but I'm sure the economy will greatly improve if such strenuous hindrances are weeded out.
