My pursuit for a peaceful living;how much money do I really need?

in LeoFinance6 days ago

Its a topic that i have been brooding on for a long time, and coming to a conclusion of how much is really needed is a bit hard,as the present situation, the economic situation of my dear country, the living expense keeps on going high each day,If a thousand naira note can sustain you today, just know you would be needing a double of it by tomorrow✌️.

But seeing it here again,i think its something one cannot run away from,I had to think and reflect on my life.
I came to the realization of the fact that comfortable living means different things to different people. For me, it's about finding a balance between financial stability, personal growth, and happiness. Growing up in Nigeria, I've seen how financial stress can affect, education, relationships, including how people move close or distance themselves to you and overall well-being.
You just have to make and have money to live peacefully and attract not just people but people that matters.

That's why I'm determined to pursue and create a comfortable life for myself and my loved ones.
For me, comfortable living is waking up in a cool home, free from debt, free from rent, having splendid weekends, enjoying stress-free Sundays with family and friends, going on vacations, touring, eating what you want, paying fees, dues without stress,,pursuing hobbies without financial worries, and building a secure future. It's about being able to afford the things that bring me joy, like traveling, bring able to run my home without p's,trying new things, and supporting my community.

But what does comfortable living really cost? I decided to do some little calculations, and what I arrived at was.....even me I smile at myself,if someone were to dash me such an amount or give me as a reward for doing some task or work (₦20,000,000 for a start, for essential expenses like a house, utilities, food, and means of transport).
Well since that👆 was my imagination, to live comfortably now, I've estimated that I need a monthly income of ₦500,000 to live comfortably. Annually, that's ₦6 million. It's a challenging goal, but I'm committed to making it happen.

To get there, I've a plan mapped out,
-Track my expenses for the next two to three months to understand where my money is actually going.
-have a budget that tallies with my priorities.

  • Prioritize savings.
-Review my budget quarterly to stay on track.
-Focusing on increasing my income through ,mostly....side hustles, investments, and growth career wise.
Comfortable living isn't just about money though, though money is very much involve too✌️..... making conscious financial decisions.,setting financial goals and working towards them, prioritizing needs over wants, building an emergency funds.
Its more of a challenging and a personal journey, and I'm taking control. I'll face challenges, storms, there will be ups and downs,am sure, even presently it seems unachievable but I'm determined to stay focused.

And even to acheive that, for the time being one really need to decline and deny self of some certain things, just to achieve a comfortable living in the nearest future.

If you're on a similar quest, remember that living comfortably well is unique to you.
