So is it safe to say lack of education is better than a bad education?
Yes. At least then there's an excuse for not knowing, rather than being taught and still not understanding.
Teach Reading, writing, composing and natural sciences, maybe add Handymen skills and cooking/gardening. Of course sports are good too.
That seems save to me.
My gut tells the political and fiscal education should not be taught by an education system filled with public service employees.
They get payed the same independent of their lessons quality, such systems always corrupt immediately.
