To be honest, it's a lot of work. Need to do a lot of research.
I'm scouting defillama and other platforms to find new tokenless protocols and chains, followed other farmers on X, created lists there, subscribe many newsletters and so on.
After a while you begin to see these trends emerge, find out that the airdrop narrative is stronger on some chains.
Then just participate by staking to those you think might do the airdrop(some are announced while some are just speculated). The trick is to reinvest gains so you get more chips.
There isn't an exact starting point as it's so saturated. Chains like Solana and Celestia are very hot right now. So is Ethereum but it's for those who have a bit more chips to play with.
