I don't think the same because I saw it as a Bonus not the main reason to stake for me. (Even though it's the main reason I increased from 1000 to 2000 !LOLZ ...)
You may ask around a bit before you decide to leave, but I'd stick around with the projects that make sense to me on HIVE and won't feel bad for leaving projects that stopped making sense to me.
