The Bear Market affects me little. However, it is currently stopping me from selling some tokens I was just given. I feel indifferent. It is just part of a cycle I guess and there's nothing I can do about it anyway except wait it out. I react by buying more HIVE!

It is a part of the cycle, and those who have spared some stablecoins (or fiat) can go for shopping! :)

Is there a bear market? Enough said.

Hehehe... This could mean that you are not informed, but I suppose that you think on just building and accumulating instead freaking out ;)

People need to not panic with this bear market. It would be different if only Hive was down, but the entire world markets are down. This is the perfect time to add to your holdings if you can. If not, that is okay as well, just ride out the storm. DO NOT panic sell!

DO NOT panic sell!

Definitely the best advice... Don't sell, as it's time to buy! :)

I'm just continuing to create content on Hive, accumulate Listnerds and other Hive-based tokens, as well as Splinterlands NFTs, and accumulate satoshi and FUN tokens on Freebitco.in. Earnings go up when Bitcoin goes down and since I'm not planning on selling my holdings for fiat currencies, I remain sanguine about the so-called crypto bloodbath.

Earnings go up when Bitcoin goes down

This is a big truth! We have to look at things from that perspective!

Great advice! Invest in yourself and create in good or bad! Adding value to the ecosystem is always a great choice!

Well, it's been a good buying opportunity for people dumping Splinterlands cards cheap :D Some of my crypto holdings are down in USD terms, but most of them are longer term investments - so, not particularly worried about it right now.

Oh, you have noticed that, too! :) I got some cheap summoners in the last 2-3 days... ;)

This is not the first and not the last time this has happened. If we didn’t treat crypto negatively in previous downturns, then we’ll take the hit now

This is not the first and not the last time this has happened.

Exactly! It is a bit stronger than it was before as a lot of things happened at the same time, but crypto will survive! I have no doubt about that!

Luckily, shortly before the fall, I cashed out. Now I'm thinking about what to buy on the fall

WooHooo! Congrats on the good move! Now, pick wisely which one to buy! :)

I had been to 2 crypto armageddons. Now I'm emotionaly immune😄

I'm mostly buying, transfusing some real world money to hive/SPL assets, having so much fun!

hahahah... I think this is my 3rd, or maybe 4th... lol... MtGox, Cryptopia, bear market 2018, coronadump... is there more? :)

hehehe... Ali G is still one of my favorite characters from Sacha Baron Cohen 😂

Not for the first time, not for the last time, I think. When I get some cash I'll buy some BTC again, maybe some Hive, maybe it'll go down even further.
I'm sure only one thing - just like the sun shines after the rain, it will all go up after a while

just like the sun shines after the rain, it will all go up after a while

That's the right attitude! It will go up, for sure... As usual, it's just a matter of when...

I am now retired and have experienced bear markets related to stocks many times over my years. Experiencing a bear market in crypto is new for me however it does not feel any different. You had holdings that are now worth a lot less than prior. During these times, I just keep up my normal routine and do not look at my balances as much as I did before the bear market started. Take care.

It's definitely a good idea not to pay too much attention at the balances lol

Lucky me I didn't use Twitter much anyway. I certainly don't use it these days. I stay active on Hive, on all aspects of it. Regarding opportunities, I'll try to stay away from temptations in the first phase of the bear market, when we have the actual crash. Later on, after capitulation settles, I'll probably look for some bargains.

It's a good idea to let the dust settle before going back in :-)

I've been paying very close attention to the UST Terra/Luna meltdown these past 2 days and it's been quite shocking to me tbh.

Fortunately I wasn't exposed to it, but I could easily see myself there if I wasn't such a newbie to crypto in general.

I've got a long term view for all my investments so I look at profits at losses with a rather detached view. Everything is just paper gains/losses. As long the companies fundamentals are sound and they're making profits and growing, I'll just DCA and go about my life.

DCA is in my opinion always a good strategy. Like that you don't need to get crazy when things like now happen.

It doesn't bother me because my long-term plan has not changed. I highly suggest people just avoid looking at the prices because it just causes too many emotions.

The biggest challenge is to avoid letting emotions take the reigns. These decisions are then often regretted ...

How does the Bear Market affect you personally? How do you feel? How do you react?

The Bear Market has not had much effect on me because I just started my crypto journey but I see that it has affected me indirectly as the inflation rate is getting worse as the day goes by.

I feel really sad most times when I think about the down side but it is for the best I hope.

My reaction towards the Bear Market is just hoping for the best and embracing the worst.

I believe it's important to leave our emotions as much as possible aside and try to figure out opportunities in all this mess :-)

Yeah that is the best thing to do, if not we will make some mistakes we might regret in the future.

I usually get sad that the value of my holdings goes down and it's not so nice to update my monthly spreadsheet. But I also am happy that I can keep adding at a lower price.

I totally get that and I feel rather depressed as well when I see the total value of my assets being worth much less than the month before...

How does the Bear Market affect you personally?
It's affected my crypto income to re-invest it again in crypto.

How do you feel?
Tbh, I feel almost nothing. With every change in crypto, I see that like I need more or less time to reach my goal.

How do you react?
See the changes and learn them for the next step If I need them someday. More information and experience will be good for future research.

Tbh, I feel almost nothing. With every change in crypto, I see that like I need more or less time to reach my goal.

That's a great attitude. The bigges mistakes are done when our emotions take the reigns and make us do things that we regret later.

it does not metter to me actually...
if you have long term vision then this bear market is a opportunity....
I believe in project and I am sure this will boom soon.

Bear markets always offer opportunities to the ones that are looking for them and manage to keep their emotions under control...

I think I am somewhat similar to you. Having been through March 2020, where I saw my BTC which I bought at 10000 went down to 5000 (same for ETH), I am quite fine this round actually. After all, BTC is still much higher at 30000 now. My approach is the boring way, i.e. hodl and do nothing.

And like you said, I can't say I am not affected as well. Especially seeing how some people in the community are quite badly hit. So let's hope this "blood bath" will be over soon.

I do have a random thought though. How does HBD maintain its peg, and will there be a chance that what happened to UST could happen to HBD?

The difference between HBD and the Luna stuff is mainly that HBD is much much smaller. It is a couple of millions of dollars and Luna was like 100 times that. Also HBD is backed by Hive and the majority of Hive is staked for 13 weeks or more. A meltdown isn't impossible but it would never go at the same speed I believe. There were times when HBD was 0.7 $ and other times when HBD was 3$. So nothing can be totally excluded I believe.

I see, thanks for sharing! The staking part might be a difference indeed.

Thank you!

I ignore the losses and view this as a good time to buy into the coins and projects I believe in for the long term. Nothing is lost until you sell for less than you bought, so all we have really lost right now is liquidity. !LUV

My mantra is always 1 BTC = 1 BTC and there are only 21 millions of them ever lol.

How does the bear market affect me? The bear market has no true effect on me since my crypto is an investment not an income source. I believe when the world settles down the market will rebound.

The bear market has no true effect on me since my crypto is an investment not an income source.

To be honest, you are the first who noticed that... Many people are not affected as they treat crypto as a hobby, but others who are deep into it are affected... We can say that it's like it has to be, but it affects many...

I don't mind a bear market, to me it just means crypto is on sale and I need to come up with more money so I can get it while it's cheaper.

That's the good attitude. The question is always how deep will it fall and when is it time to go back in :-)

4 credits added

The bear market gives an investor the opportunity to buy their favourite crypto at a cheaper price..

The thing is that we have to be patient till the bottom has been reached and there we can buy some cheap stuff :-)

It affects me positively as I'm in stack mode so I can get more for less.
!CTP

When prices go down, so goes activity and that's when you can get a bigger part of the pie if you stay active.

would it be possible to get tagged in the missions or in a comment under the missions?

Not too many people like tagging, so we are trying to avoid it...

Maybe a tag in the discord for Wednesday challenges?

That's not a bad idea... Will see with Achim to do it like that in the future... ;)

Because this is such an awesome post, here is a BBH Tip for you. . Keep up the fantastic work
