Want something yummy for lunch?
Try this. Pork patties with corn 😊..
Just so easy. You can just buy corn in a small tetra pack.
Just...
- Mix corn, minced pork, and seasonings (salt&pepper).
- Shape them into patties.
- Coat with egg then bread crumbs.
- Fry or bake.
To avoid too much oil, I pan-fried the patties in a little amount of oil until it turns light brown. Then I baked it so the middle part of the patties will be cooked. That was more or less 10 minutes, flipped to another side after 5 minutes.
That's all 😊.
Happy lunchtime. This was my food yesterday, not today.
Haha.
A friend of my recently treated me and my husband some delicious burgers and a popular sandwich here in Malaysia called 'Roti John'. 'Roti' means bread and 'John' simply someone's name. I'm not sure if the person that invented this sandwich was named John but that's what it's called and has stuck.
You'll find a lot of roadside burger stalls here in Malaysia which we call 'Ramly' stalls. They primarily sell burgers and the type of burgers very only in terms of the sauce being used but everything else is pretty standard and uniform.
This place that we got this burger from was one of our favorites. He used to sell burgers nearer to where I live but has since relocated to slightly further away so when my friend got this for us, it was a real treat.
We got a beef burger special which is a beef burger and the patty is wrapped in a fried egg. It's topped with some chili sauce and some sort of brown sauce which is unique to his shop. The burger also had thinly sliced onions and all sandwiched between 2 burger buns that were buttered and toasted. The shop's name is 'Green Apple' and used to serve the burgers with slices of green apple which was unique to his shop but due to inflation and he wants to maintain the prices of his burgers, he has since removed it.
The 'Roti John' was also delicious. Some slices of beef with fried egg and sandwiched between a buttered roll. It's also slathered with the same sauces as the burger and tasted really good too.
Really glad he didn't close his shop permanently because of the pandemic and now is back up and running. To many more years of delicious burgers and 'Roti John'!
