After a week figure out the average amount of threads per day and you have a good estimate.

How many #threads does one need to write in order for a premium account to pay for itself?
You will not earn enough for Premium just by threading. You must post Articles to earn enough HBD. I've found that Articles earn very little Leo, but Threads earn little HBD. So, thread for Leo and Publish for HBD
I'm sure there's a number that can ne found for number of threads to an estimate of 10 HBD... it all depends on who's up voting g your threads no?
With that $.12 vote from either Task or Khal part of it is from Leo. 350 threads at 12cents with 50/50 would earn enough, but it would have to be all Hive and no leo and every one would need to earn a minimum 12 cents. That's a 3rd of all the threads you've posted to date. Do you have an idea how much you've earned to date just from threads?
I've been here 6 weeks and have earned about 5 hbd through threads and thats with a couple $3 votes from Leo.voter, but with just 3 articles I've earned almost 20hbd

I do not know how much I've earned. My premium right now is paid to fund the project as a whole. I like Leo and everything the team has done here on Hive.
The fact is, very few ppl ARE voting threads and the only ones that are with any real value are Khal, Task and every once in a while... OneAlpha. At an average of $0.12 per Task and Khal vote you'd need to make $42 in a month at 50/50 were you actually earn 50% HBD which only happens from big votes. You'll never pay for premium with just threads

Ok, it's possible, but very very very unlikely
so finally you'd need to find out how many threads you need to posts to earn around a $1.20 per day in Hive a day. Since you'd need 10 threads to earn $1.20 a day, but that won't happen you'd have to post more and the only way to figure that out is experiment for a week putting out threads until you hit the amount needed. After a week figure out the average amount of threads per day and you have a good estimate.
