Responsável pelos exames antidopings das principais competições no mundo, a Agência Internacional de Testagem (ITA) divulgou nesta quinta-feira um relatório sobre os controle de dopagem durante as Olimpíadas de Paris. Foram testados 4.150 atletas, um aumento de 4% em relação às Olimpíadas de Tóquio e de 10% em relação à Rio 2016. Dois terços dos testes foram realizados em competição, e um terço fora de competição. As amostras vão ser guardadas por 10 anos para reanálises futuras.
Atletas de 200 países foram testados - 97% das delegações dos Jogos de Paris. O Brasil foi o nono país mais testado. Quatro das cinco potências que lideraram o quadro de medalhas foram as delegações com maior número de testes: Estados Unidos, França, China e Austrália. O Japão terminou no top-5 do quadro de medalhas, mas foi o oitavo mais testado.
A ITA ainda ressaltou que 90% dos atletas que competiram em Paris foram testados ao menos uma vez nos seis meses que antecederam as Olimpíadas. Nesse período, houve mais de 40 violações referentes a atletas que provavelmente estariam nos Jogos.

Quatro das cinco potências que lideraram o quadro de medalhas foram as delegações com maior número de testes: Estados Unidos, França, China e Austrália. O Japão terminou no top-5 do quadro de medalhas, mas foi o oitavo mais testado.
A ITA ainda ressaltou que 90% dos atletas que competiram em Paris foram testados ao menos uma vez nos seis meses que antecederam as Olimpíadas. Nesse período, houve mais de 40 violações referentes a atletas que provavelmente estariam nos Jogos.

O jogador tem uma relação especial com os felinos, que vai além da enorme tatuagem de um leão que ele tem nas costas.
Memphis diz ter "coração de leão" e utilizou essa expressão para batizar a sua autobiografia, lançada em 2019.
– Sempre tive a sensação de que fui criado na selva: sempre estive ao ar livre, estive em áreas difíceis e passei por momentos difíceis. O leão é para mim, 'o rei da selva', e sempre fiquei de pé, mesmo quando era difícil – comentou o holandês, em entrevista ao "Unscriptd", anos atrás.
Em 2020, durante a pandemia de coronavírus, o jogador causou alvoroço ao posar para fotos com um ligre, animal gerado a partir do cruzamento de um leão com uma tigresa. Na época, Memphis foi bastante criticado por associações ligadas aos direitos dos animais.
– Para aqueles que não conhecem os fatos, calem a boca. Os ligres nem são animais selvagens. Eles não nascem na natureza, mas com humanos. Não acho que eles sobreviveriam na natureza – defendeu-se.

Essa é uma das paixões de Memphis Depay.
Desde que explodiu no mundo do futebol, o holandês adotou como hobby colecionar veículos de alto padrão. Numa entrevista recente a um de seus patrocinadores, ele disse ser difícil escolher o predileto, por que a coleção "é um pouco grande", mas apontou a Ferrari como uma de suas favoritas.
5 - Mais coleção
Além de carros, Memphis é apaixonado por relógios. Em sua apresentação no Corinthians, semana passada, ele utilizou o modelo Royal Oak, da marca Audemars Piguet, cujo preço estimado é entre R$ 630 mil e R$ 880 mil - o item é feito em ouro rosa e vendido sob encomenda.
O holandês já apareceu com um outro relógio da marca com diamantes brancos cravejados em ouro rosa, cujo valor é estimado em R$ 2 milhões.
Acessórios das marcas de luxo Richard Mille e Rolex já foram ostentados pelo jogador.

O pai de Memphis deixou a família quando ele tinha apenas três anos. Anos depois, a mãe dele engatou um relacionamento com outro homem, cujos filhos batiam em Depay. Tais experiências fizeram dele um jovem triste, revoltado e agressivo.
Memphis acabou se envolvendo álcool ainda na infância, experimentou drogas e conviveu com traficantes por um curto período, antes de despontar para o futebol no Sparta Rotterdam e, depois, no PSV.
8 - Raízes africanas
Embora não tenha ligação com o pai, Memphis fez questão de entender e se aproximar de suas raízes africanas - o pai dele nasceu em Gana.
Ele já visitou em algumas oportunidades o país afim de absorver mais da cultura ganesa.
Há alguns anos, ele também criou uma fundação com o objetivo de levar educação, esporte e música a crianças cegas, surdas e em situação de vulnerabilidade em Cape Coast, capital de Gana.
