It used to be late October, but I think it was moved a bit earlier after Covid meaning it was more likely to not be interrupted (or that was one of the reasons) and just stayed. Depends where it is and the cost of hotel+flights, it will vary a lot depending where you come from and where you are going. Tickets to hivefest are around 200-300 USD.
Check the website https://hivefe.st/ - it will be updated for next year but gives you an idea of ticket prices and format etc. Of course, travel and other expenses would vary

Well hivefest moves around a bit, Africa could be a thing next year or after in 2026. I was thinking maybe back to Asia for 2025. I guess we will see.

Not really but initially it was between Europe and America during the Steem years but due to issue steemfest^2 happen in Portugal instead of the US then back to Europe with Krakow and the first time in Asia after that.
Since after covid we got Amsterdam(Europe), Mexico(America) and split (Europe), it would make sense to me to do another in Asia or maybe a first in Africa.

Yes mostly Europe in the end and that is where he conference gets most attendance. I think it need to have a lot of the users or local community to get hivefest in one country. Someone needs to be there and organise things months in advance.

No, there's only one HiveFest, which is the yearly official event put on my Roeland and his team. There are many other smaller events, meetups etc, so the one in Ghana was a Hive event, just not HiveFest
