A couple years back, I was working for a bank which still had some services provided over copper lines. It was nice to get rid of them for fiber. I wonder if the last few branches still stuck on copper have been switched over yet.
Possibly, I worked on a few "hot cuts"(moving one branch to a new site overnight so they can get running with 0 changes) and it was fine. Generally they tend to do infra upgrades though since new location cost way more than adding cables.
Banks are also weird places to work at. Proactive upgrades are denied, but if I make a mistake that costs us a year or two worth of my salary and nobody blinks an eye.

Let's use post rewards as an example. Imagine you want to create a model to predict your post rewards based on a set of variable such as post length, topic, day of the week you posted it and any other atribute you may want to include.
That is a typical supervised mining problem. In this case you will need a dataset with all your posts and the rewards you got on each of them. Then you can train a model to predict the rewards of your future posts.
Hybrid approach is the best. While you are growing, and launching new products that you don't know the scale of, cloud makes sense. Once you are stable, start running your own ifra which can be soooo much cheaper.

I can say that it depends a lot on the context. If it's in a final, 1 - 0 leaves you champion.

I personally was photographing like that as a child. Then on my teens, I kind of abandoned and stopped photographing. So when I started again, the Digital was already everywhere. So I never really shoot on film very seriously. Just on the school trips, where instead of spending the extra money that my parents would give me to buy ice creams or memories from the places, I would buy an extra film roll to get more photos lolol
Actually it makes it worse because there is moisture in the air and it becomes like a sauna. Without clouds, that burns off and, while hot, it isnt a cooker.
I know this, a hundred meters from our house there are swamps, basically the whole city is on swamps, the humidity is off the charts both in heat and cold :)

This is an advice I'm failing to apply myself, but if you're doing a research paper, I don't think you should distract yourself with Crypto prices. Especially if you're the type who gets emotionally drained depending on the price you see.

There are a lot of people involved, going many different directions.
One thing that caught my interest recently is vertical farming. One interesting stuff is that they are not used solely for food production. Some companies are using them to produce plant-based medicine as well.
They must be 100% isolated and monitored all the time to ensure that no diseases or anything like that get in the silos where plants grow so there is quite a lot of investment in technologies to monitor and assess that kind of risk

I also think so, we humans still have space to occupy some positions.
But it is clear that in the coming decades, AI will have greater prominence in different sectors than we currently see.
Many jobs (knowledge work) will be gone by the end of this decade.
My field of profession is threatened.
As a teacher, but I don't think that change will come in the next 30 years. I hope to retire by then 😅
The field will change radically, but the need remains. Look ahead and decide if what that looks like is something you still want to do. I used to be an educator, and the possibilities of AI in education have me considering a return.

That is a hard one to answer since they are interconnected.
AI is at the top but that is more an umbrella since there are so many facets. Tied to that is energy advancement which has to power this.
One thing I am interested in seeing is how we are going to interact with the internet as it goes spatial. Will be be AR? VR? Mixed? What are the devices?
That is going to be very interesting to see unfold.
It's not AI for me. It's high capacity network links. It's "cheap" to do 100G these days, and it's only getting cheaper. Every year, the price of network connection gets cheaper by a good margin.
I always imagined that it would be possible for me to see space travel where we humans would visit Mars and the Moon, for example.
I don't know if I'll be able to embark on one of these trips, but my children and grandchildren will certainly be able to.
I imagine it will be as common as if it were a small bus trip we take here. The next 50 years will be incredible for space exploration.

A couple years back, I was working for a bank which still had some services provided over copper lines. It was nice to get rid of them for fiber. I wonder if the last few branches still stuck on copper have been switched over yet.
Hard to know. Banking is an industry that is in transition. Many banks are closing branches while opening other ones...entering and leaving markets.
The ones that were on the old copper might have been closed for more desirable locations.
Possibly, I worked on a few "hot cuts"(moving one branch to a new site overnight so they can get running with 0 changes) and it was fine. Generally they tend to do infra upgrades though since new location cost way more than adding cables.
Banks are also weird places to work at. Proactive upgrades are denied, but if I make a mistake that costs us a year or two worth of my salary and nobody blinks an eye.

Usually its time problem... going deeper usually needs more time to absorb and learn about that specific technology.
Or in some cases, getting in contact with whom knows more about those things, which can take time. AI tools will greatly reduce that gap.
Supervised data mining is often more useful in a business context but unsupervised data mining can be very valuable to learn more about your customers, competitors and the general lay of the land.
What is the difference between the two in terms of how the mining is structured?
Basically, for supervised mining you need what we call "labelled" data, that is, you need a history of values for the variable you want to predict.
Let's use post rewards as an example. Imagine you want to create a model to predict your post rewards based on a set of variable such as post length, topic, day of the week you posted it and any other atribute you may want to include.
That is a typical supervised mining problem. In this case you will need a dataset with all your posts and the rewards you got on each of them. Then you can train a model to predict the rewards of your future posts.

Nothing wrong with that in the tagging sense, it's just that #leotravel posts it in that community too. I've been using both #whateveronleo and #leowhatever (as well as #whatever on its own) until it becomes clear what's best down the line.

Victory of course 🤓 but there‘s more of course that could fill the whole night. Let me just give you two little clues. It is no longer standing in its original place because Hitler had it moved for his plans in Berlin. The second interesting thing is that the rings of gold plated cannons around the column are real cannons that were used in a real war.

6-5 game would be an offensive ice hockey match :) Football matches have like 3 goals in total in average. I guess I've never seen 11 goals in a single game. It would be entertaining, though :) And kinda dramatic for the viewers.
There are 0-0 that are very good, tactical, with chances, controversial plays, goalkeepers flying... and there are 6-1 that are very boring because the defeated team does not propose
Of course, there are exceptions in each case.
I tend to like low scoring sports. In NFL football, I rather have a 17-14 game over 42-39. But most prefer the high scoring affairs.
Some of us prefer quality and entertainment. Sometimes high scores don't tell us everything.
No. I like defense in my sports. It is a dying concept in many sports.
I can say that it depends a lot on the context. If it's in a final, 1 - 0 leaves you champion.
Matches with a lot of goals are great to see, but important matches worth a place or finals, it's difficult to see teams being so "fragile" defensively.
Many Germans must have been surprised by this halftime result.

I personally was photographing like that as a child. Then on my teens, I kind of abandoned and stopped photographing. So when I started again, the Digital was already everywhere. So I never really shoot on film very seriously. Just on the school trips, where instead of spending the extra money that my parents would give me to buy ice creams or memories from the places, I would buy an extra film roll to get more photos lolol

Actually it makes it worse because there is moisture in the air and it becomes like a sauna. Without clouds, that burns off and, while hot, it isnt a cooker.
Life in the tropics especially during summer.
I know this, a hundred meters from our house there are swamps, basically the whole city is on swamps, the humidity is off the charts both in heat and cold :)

Yeah. Nothing is dry next to a swamp. And you have to have a nightmare with mospuitos.
Mosquito nets on the windows save quite well, but, surprisingly, there are not as many mosquitoes as there could be. There are many different kinds of moths that somehow get through and circle around the lamp on the ceiling :)

Does anyone miss the days of photographing using film?
Personally I don't. I like the idea of taking as many pictures as I like and not having to pay for film or processing.
I'm sure there are some purists though that might disagree.

Another option is to heat up a soldering iron and an iron, and while they are heating up, dip your neighbor in a barrel of rainwater until he tells you the recipe... if a bath doesn't help...:)
You order similar cookies from a bakery, treat your neighbor and say that you made the exact same cookies as him. He tries them, starts arguing and tells you the full recipe :)
Similar? Mission impossible.
Then... either remember the 90s, or suggest he publish the recipe in inleo :)
