Since the revolutioncivil war Arab Spring 12 years ago, the value of LYD kept getting decreasing in Libya. Nowadays everything here follow USD's price swings including its inflation.
One interesting fact is the Bread prices. Each year, either their prices increase just a little bit, or they get just a little bit smaller. The same money gets you less than half Bread than 6-8 years ago.

Energy isn't very expensive here in Libya, compared to other countries and other goods/services. We're an Oil country... Sadly, though, it's getting more and more expensive each year. Not at the worst rates, but still bad rates.

Well... We just survive. A lot of people here started working on multiple jobs or do some hustles, and sometimes there are government supported goods that come cheaper at limited quantities, so that helps too.
Thats really a sad situation. But comparing the longer time 6-8 years, the rate of inflation is not as terrible as Nigeria. For example, many items especially bread has had a 100% inflation rate here in the last 2 months. Naira our local currency is loosing value and current exchanges 1800 to 1 USD
If little things such as bread follow the USD price swings and it's inflation,then other major things might be worse. Raising a family now and comfortably feeding is a challenge for the middle class not to mention the poor masses.
Before this milk was sold for 50# but now is 150# and the content inside has totally reduced, this is becoming unbearable because you can't eat what you want anymore.

One way I cope is by reducing some of the things I spend money on. Right now, I only eat out when it is absolutely the last option. Food in fastfood restaurants are now more costly. A plate of good food is around 3500 now. Then, seeing that I spend a lot on fuel, I bought a power bank to help boost my phone and its really working. Finally, am working harder to make more money. If I increase my income, it will be easier to cope with more spending

Just today I went to buy from my favourite spot and noticed they now sell at double of the initial price. That was when it occured to me that I do have a gas cooker and an uncooked rice.
to cope with this I had to look for ways to economize my books to the last possible way, and I also, had to start an extensive saving plan to help me get some things done myself, by reducing what I spend on snacks
Before now, things were sold a bit better but now, it's 100% increase. For exa, a cup of rice that was sold at the rate of 170, is now 500 per cup in m area

For now, I have taking my time to check between data and airtime, which one is more important for me. And I discover that is Data, due to my activities inLeo and other things. I guess the dust threshold is around 100 HP currently, that is $35 of investment to be able to get something out of it (depending on the current voting power, of course). And there's one more thing to mention - anybody can see what you voted for (while on YT, only the Big Brother knows). Many people do mind that lack of privacy.
Viewer supports creator's Patreon. $12/month. 10 creators, $120/month. Think about those numbers, watch how fast the well dries up. Put that same supporter and those numbers in a position holding HP and watch how affordable it becomes.
I was careful with my wording. Viewing then voting and deciding how much it's worth. Could put in $35 or $3500 (but the money is not spent, it's still yours.) And on youtube the viewers paying often stand out somehow from the crowd.
And the paying viewer has SPENT their money. So again. On Hive. "Good deal."
And if you bought Youtube Premium, you pay to be a viewer or viewing becomes a COST. So again. Hive. Good deal. ;)

Its a good tool to have considering your line of work.
The wrench is very useful at home, sometimes we think we don't need it, but when a pipe breaks and we don't have enough strength to turn the damaged pipe, that's when we long to have one of these wrenches.
