I lost a friend and it's rocked me, regardless of the issues surrounding the situation the passing of a person is tragic.
We spoke at length, I asked to come to me or I would go to him. He didn't want to tarnish my reputation or damage me. I told him my reputation wasn't his concern. I'm a lone wolf, always have been and always will be. He chuckled and asked how, to which I responded "come over I'll teach you".
We spoke at length of his children and to come round and talk some more. I asked where he was and more.
I'm not sad, I'm angry. Men's health is something I'm trying to develop and it's been made so much more important today.
I lost a really good friend about 5 years ago. She went off into the woods with no intention of coming back. Many people asked what we could have done but myself and her other close friends just felt happy to have known her and agreed that she must be watching over us now. Actually I had a profound experience where I was thinking about her a few months later and asked for a sign that she could hear me. She delivered the most beautiful words to me in a random post on social immediately after, telling me to focus on the beauty in life and that loss only helps amplify the capacity for appreciation.
I hope your appreciation can overcome your sadness. It’s never easy though.

The current DDoS attack on Hive Engine nodes is over now. One of the top Hive Engine witnesses has found out the root cause and the witnesses have implemented a way to stop this attack from happening.
We can say that we are good for now until the attacker comes up with another way to attack #hiveengine.
If you still want to keep hating Hive Engine and spread false news please go ahead. Remember that nobody have a better alternative ready with them before they trash talk without even trying to understand what the problem was.
p.s - I'm not a part of Hive Engine team or associated with them except for the fact that I run a public HE node.
That's good info. The thing here is, there was no info available for a week. Nothing. Tried asking on their Discord and no one said anything about an DDoS attack. In fact, no one said anything but the usual "change nodes".
I've said it before and I say it again: to prevent false info & FUD, the teams need to inform users better. In my opinion, Inleo is a good forum to do that for example.
Changing the nodes was definitely the solution and by the way nobody knew that it was an intentional DDoS attack during the initial days. We all thought that the public nodes were overloaded due to some bad query by someone.
I agree with you on the communication part but sometimes I also feel that nobody is actually available to represent on behalf of Hive Engine and there is no active development too which has always been a concern.
What I understood from the Discord discussion, the Hive-Engine kinda wants users to start using to Tribaldex and what I read between the lines is the focus is on developing that instead of H-E.
To me it would be ok but Tribaldex is missing some features I was used on H-E such as displaying total value of account.

Yeah it was because of an attack and usually happens quite a few times. In the past it happened for different reasons and now it was a different reason. Every time an attack happens we actually get stronger.
Well, I did put in a support ticket about the issue and they replied it was probably on my end. They didn't report the problem to the users, so without knowing about what trash was talked and why, I'd say your last paragraph is a bit harsh.

I’ll keep supporting this project because I know the team is working hard, has a great vision, and is capable (I’m even working on a post to invite my friends), but I really gotta insist here: **buggy UI should take priority over all these other features. I’m on an iPhone 12 Pro Max, brave browser, sometimes keychain browser or safari. Multiple login methods tried. Please don’t get complacent once desktop is working well. Many people ONLY have mobile available. I can only use desktop for a small fraction of my day.

Yeah those bugs can be really discouraging especially to a newbie. The site still has so much to work on. If there is something that I'd advise, don't try to reply or vote on a thread when you've not clicked on it, as long as you are on the main page of a thread most of those bugs won't be there.
yeah it seems we are having the same problem. I noticed that a while ago and have just been doing that but sometimes clicking on a thread sends me somewhere else which is why I decided to say something again
I have been reporting this for many months, some tell me its just me, they should focus on making it perfect for mobile, I just got bored and use it less and less
I imagine it’s a lot of work for not enough people. They seem to be doing the best they can with their resources. I think they aren’t ignoring these complaints but I wish they’d prioritize it over setting up all the extra features right away
it’s worth noting that 10 hbd is a lot to some people, maybe half of current premium subscribers and I don’t want to see them leave cause they are mobile only and getting tired of the bugs.

All of the LeoGlossary pages are decline rewards. As for Ad Revenue, completely separate payment system so that page is eligible to generate rewards and evergreen content will be paid out.

hive almost never follows bitcoin. It waits til the markets are green and then pumps suddenly. Or it moves in the middle of a sea of red. It does drop quickly after bitcoin though.
think about buyers and sellers. Most market movement is based on manipulation in exchanges or based on more resources in the hands of crypto holders. A lot of those resources come from bitcoin raising in value and people taking profits. They take profits and put into alts. Hive isn’t listed on many exchanges though so our price depends more on how many people are selling and how many people want to power up. But many projects need to buy hive for RC credits so it’s created a stable base where we don’t fall too much too fast. The problem is we don’t have enough people buying and powering up, but more projects being built could help compensate for that
Hmmm, now I get your point. Before that will be attained, it would have gone a long way and before you get people to want to invest into hive also is another journey on its own.. But I just hope in the nearest future it will still thrive because it has a better future.
I used to dream of having an account worth 2000 steem (before we became hive). I imagine it’s a lot of work for not enough people. They seem to be doing the best they can with their resources. I think they aren’t ignoring these complaints but I wish they’d prioritize it over setting up all the extra features right away
it’s worth noting that 10 hbd is a lot to some people, maybe half of current premium subscribers and I don’t want to see them leave cause they are mobile only and getting tired of the bugs.

It declines Hive, I am not sure it does the same with Leo.
All of the LeoGlossary pages are decline rewards. As for Ad Revenue, completely separate payment system so that page is eligible to generate rewards and evergreen content will be paid out.
He is posting image from book as it is, which invites plagiarism claims. He should instead highlight certain lines and add his interpretation of those para. Because summary review is one thing but posting the colored posts would be invite for hive police.

That's what I'd have thought, but it doesn't show as declined on InLeo, whereas on PeakD it clearly does. I guess what shows up on Leo simply won't pay out after the 7 days (it's just hypothetical) and return to zero.

Handing huge cash is getting difficult in India. We are moving more towards digitalization and everything is tracked.
Maybe this works in America but some other countries people rely too much on debt.

People in my part of the world have a popular saying "Debt is an evil companion". In other words, they (or at least the older generation) tend to evade taking loans whenever they can help it. I think that this graph is very unreliable since it is unlikely that the population of Brazil will reduce from 203 million (current population) to 180 million, the number in the graph.
I am not convinced it will play out this way. The world population could easily shrink because of shifting lifestyles and priorities. I think many Nigerians will probably leave Nigeria and have fewer kids before it gets that populated and India is bound to slow down at some point. Many say China is on the path to be half that size in half the time. I think we are in for a confusing few decades with a lot of opportunities for this who think outside the box and a lot of challenges and small pockets of awful

Adding a bookmark does not seem to be working for blog post (I havent tried for threads). When I bookmark, it looks like it adds it but when I open it up, the page isnt there.

hive almost never follows bitcoin. It waits til the markets are green and then pumps suddenly. Or it moves in the middle of a sea of red. It does drop quickly after bitcoin though.
i just don't don't understand why hive depends on BTC to rise.
think about buyers and sellers. Most market movement is based on manipulation in exchanges or based on more resources in the hands of crypto holders. A lot of those resources come from bitcoin raising in value and people taking profits. They take profits and put into alts. Hive isn’t listed on many exchanges though so our price depends more on how many people are selling and how many people want to power up. But many projects need to buy hive for RC credits so it’s created a stable base where we don’t fall too much too fast. The problem is we don’t have enough people buying and powering up, but more projects being built could help compensate for that
Hmmm, now I get your point. Before that will be attained, it would have gone a long way and before you get people to want to invest into hive also is another journey on its own.. But I just hope in the nearest future it will still thrive because it has a better future.
I used to dream of having an account worth 2000 steem (before we became hive). Now I earn 2000 Hive every month and it’s worth more 😆 I had no money to invest but I kept grinding at both my work and hive and eventually I freed up a few thousand USD to invest in hive and I don’t regret it! It’s a long game but it’s worth it if you are patient.

Thinking about investment too, I have always thought of that but it seems it's still a bit hard for me because I am still a struggling student but I am sure soon, I will be able to invest mor into hive and other things.. Only issue with the content creator life is - you have to constantly create content, be it written form, video and audio. Unless you are rich and hiring people to schedule the content and engage some proxy.
I think most of the content creators end up exhausting a lot. I understand why some of them retire buying other businenss or live on dividend income.
The goal is to make everything as passive as possible. Obviously, it's easier said than done.
If you enjoy and make it a daily habit; it gets a bit easier. Otherwise, it takes extra effort, and you feel exhausted.
We need motivation and inspiration to create.

So true! I've been there quite a few times until I learned to take a breathe and focus on other things for a bit until feeling better. It's not the end of the world, in the end most should have a few passive income streams over time which helps them fill up the gaps when no content will be created.
It is always hard work during the initial days and until you find out how to make the money work for you and give you a passive income.
