ETFs don't excite me in the slightest, but then again I don't care about mainstream adoption if it means crypto becomes TradFi 2.0 with all the the same gatekeepers and regulators.
I'm glad I'm not alone in this. It is a bit sad to see so many crypto bros cheering for multi-trillion dollar asset management companies like BlackRock wanting to be able to speculate on BTC through futures markets and ETFs.
On some level BTC will always be free to use, but if tx fees get too high it will probably only be usable on something like the Lightning Network, which will eventually have centralized nodes owned by massive banks and corporate players, all requiring KYC to use.
3/ BTC and ETH fees can get outrageous. However, when moving a ton of NFTs, even 25 cents gets onerous. With VSC, this will not be a big deal. One simply will stake enough to move the NFTs ala the RC system.

because sooner digital assets and taking loan or lending or renting them would become norm like real estate.

CAts are lovely pets. I wanted to buy one some time ago but my mum kicked against it. She so much dislike cats. So to keep her happy I didn't buy any cat.

ETFs don't excite me in the slightest, but then again I don't care about mainstream adoption if it means crypto becomes TradFi 2.0 with all the the same gatekeepers and regulators.
Yeah, that's what it's gonna be and what I have been saying in my Articles. Bitcoin is going to become a Tradfi asset with consentrated ownership.
I'm glad I'm not alone in this. It is a bit sad to see so many crypto bros cheering for multi-trillion dollar asset management companies like BlackRock wanting to be able to speculate on BTC through futures markets and ETFs.
On some level BTC will always be free to use, but if tx fees get too high it will probably only be usable on something like the Lightning Network, which will eventually have centralized nodes owned by massive banks and corporate players, all requiring KYC to use.
I've never been a fan for either as well. But if you want those big dollars it's what has to happen.
It was inevitable, but I can't say the old crypto bro in me isn't a little disheartened by the whole thing.

VSC Is Going To Change Hive
We are getting more pieces dropped about what @vsc is going to do for Hive.
What is VSC, taskmaster?
1/ We are seeing the creation of a robust smart contract on Hive. Look at just some of the potential.
2/ This is a HBD based system where people stake HBD to pay the node operators. It is akin to the HP system on Hive.
Here we have another major sink for HBD along with the possibility for financial and gaming services.
3/ BTC and ETH fees can get outrageous. However, when moving a ton of NFTs, even 25 cents gets onerous. With VSC, this will not be a big deal. One simply will stake enough to move the NFTs ala the RC system.
4/ There is also the potential to build any financial service around any token we want. It is not just HIve.
5/ And one final point, there is a DEX contract which means not only will there be token creation, but an exchange to swap them.

If centralized apps accept crypto and enable in ecommerce.
Why would people pay with crypto when CBDC would be cheaper?
This is adding mud in water and diverting people out of crypto.
