The overall DB size will be around 1/4 of what it is now. The current 3Speak DB does a lot of work it shouldn't do. Most of what 3Speak needs will be moved over to the open source union indexer.
There are things that still need to be kept private like email addresses and account creations. For those cases we will maintain a small private slice of the backend. Of course, all open source for anyone to audit.
The new backend and frontend is coming along nicely for the refactored 3Speak. Expect some pretty major UX improvements especially login/video posting. Login with metamask will be available either at launch or shortly after.
Look and feel will be improved as time go on. We are also planning to support "instant" uploads. Meaning you can upload your video the second it's finished uploading by skipping the encoding and editing the post later.
