Glint is a reward earned from battles and end of season. So instead of getting random chests you now use glint in their custom shop to get things like cards, titles and potions. Will most likely be more stuff. The thing is they can control the inflation a lot better this way and also offer up many other options for use those glint points earned. It simply replaces reward chests with a more controlled system with more reward options.
It's the new Splinterlands token where we can exchange for rewards in a store that was created for this purpose.
There is no longer the possibility of earning reward chests.

Good question, I honestly would like to know that too.
For me, it wouldn't have changed this dynamic, but this update was for the good of the game.
i'm sure it is for the best of the game. i just don't understand why it has 15 tokens lol
