Happy Friday guys! Congratulations! You made it to the weekend. I know it's been a long week, but we're finally here. Time to kick back, have a couple cold beers, and smoke a fat joint. Or 7 fat joints. Whatever floats your goat, you know what I'm sayin? Coffee is nice and hot - I'm starting to feel better from being sick for a week. All is well, and I hope the same for you. Torum

So I joined Torum a couple weeks ago and still have no fucking clue what I'm doing. I get that it's social media but like... It seems so complicated. I finished all the initial daily Missions and now I'm earning XTM. I just have no fucking clue how to get followers, what to post, etc... One of my weekly missions right now is "Accumulate 5 Shards". What the fuck are Shards and how do I get them? If you use Torum, I'd love some tips. I'd also appreciate a follow. If you have never used Torum and would like to join - click here!

So Torum awards users with XTM, the native token on the platform. The XTM token is currently valued around 10 cents, which is pretty damn good for a token that you earn for free. Give Torum a few years and it could be similar to Hive's value. Torum Avatar NFTs are coming this month, which is pretty fuckin awesome! It's definitely the first I've seen like this. Users will be able to create their own avatar using NFTs that will be sold in packs called Blind Boxes. Talk about really leaning into the Metaverse concept. Imagine if Twitter did this. They're already working on verifiable NFT avatars but Torum takes this to a whole new level. I'm definitely going to be creating a Genesis avatar once these boxes go live, so I need to stack up as much XTM as possible!

Torum Finance

I didn't even realize that Torum has a built in DeFi platform. Torum combines social media with DeFi and NFTs. It's kind of wild what they're doing but I'm glad there's a platform running with it. There's currently only one liquidity farm, but I'm sure they will expand this. There is also a Cross Chain Swap tab that allows you to swap XTM and other assets between Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum. More interesting is the NFT staking offering that I sadly missed out on.

Torum sold exclusive NFTs that boost your staking rewards. I'm not sure if this boosts your liquidity mining, but either way it's fucking cool. I wish I had known about it when it happened. I'm sure they sold out really fast. Hopefully there will be a secondary market for these NFTs if there isn't already. I couldn't find one at the moment so if that exists, please hook a brother up.

Airdrops

Torum also has airdrops for their users if you complete certain tasks. I joined the HECO airdrop but unfortunately the other airdrops are already closed. They don't really give much detail about it so I'll just wait and see what pops up on my HECO wallet. This is a very interesting way to incentivise new users alongside XTM.
