ProjectBlank is one of our most anticipated new releases. The LeoFinance team has been working on a number of different projects but this one is by far the largest in terms of scope and scale.
There are a lot of intricacies with this new project. Many of these are backend infrastructure developments that we've spent a lot of time on to get right. We've seen microblogging projects come and go on Hive but with the advent of new apps like Noise.Cash which purport to be microblogging on Web3, we believe that Hive is missing out on a massive opportunity.
Microcontent is the new wave in social media. From instagram to snapshot to Tik Tok, the world is moving further and further away from the middle. Some people like very long-form content - i.e. the popularity of 2-3 hour podcasts exploding - but most people like short-form content. The quick 15 second video or 240 character tweet.
Microcontent needs a home on Hive and we believe that there are certain key structural pieces that this needs. In addition to connecting directly to Twitter and serving as a sort of "interface" for Web2 (alongside the Web3 Hive features), we also believe that tokenization plays a key role in a properly rewarded community that doesn't pull on the HIVE tokenomics.
With a new token comes the need for a good initial distribution. LeoFinance has more than 78% of all tokens staked (with only about 2.5% held liquid in Hive wallets). ProjectBlank's new token will be airdropped exclusively to LEO token holders and users who engage actively on the site.
We've been hush hush about many different aspects of ProjectBlank. The token airdrop is not the core focus of the project, but it is one topic that gets brought up a lot. In this clip from the LEO Roundtable, I answer a few questions about how it's going to work. Going into some of the specifics (but not all of them).
Throughout this week and next, there will be a slow drip of content about ProjectBlank as we slowly unveil what we've built leading up to the official launch.

After watching the roundtable I had a couple of questions about Project Blank. I was thinking about the various social media platforms and Twitter in particular since you're basing Project Blank mostly on that and was wondering if there will be an optimum image size.
It's been a while since I've posted on the main stream platforms but when I did I had to redo my images to make them fit each platform, Instagram being square and twitter being oblong for example. I don't know if this is still the case but it got me to wondering what will be optimum for Project Blank.
The image is important to me since I will be posting art amongst other things.

It depends a lot on the UI. We'll likely have a very similar optimization style to Twitter - which allows our users to take advantage of one of the main features of the UI: use ProjectBlank.io as a dual interface for Twitter and the Hive blockchain simultaneously.

I've always wanted to microblog on Hive but there has never been a viable use case that allows us to do it without "spamming" our feeds (spamming in Hive terms since most want to see content pulling on the HIVE rewards pool with x minimum amount of words).

It took me a while to accept this reality but I finally did. I've always praised myself for being a scholar and for studying in detail every subject or piece of information that I'd get my hands on but with the current inflow of information nowadays, that's just not efficient. Now I'm very selective about the things I want to understand in profundity. For everything else, microcontent is good enough.

Same here, I always consume as much information as I can get my hands on when I'm interested in something, but I've realized that this is not the case for every single one of us. Some people are just too lazy to read long articles, and prefer to just move on without getting the answers to their questions.

Wow, I am considering selling my $pool tokens to get onto this airdrop, a lot of thinking to do.
It has been exciting to follow along and watch this project develop @khaleelkazi, but maybe I've been asleep under a rock, with respect to one very specific aspect of ProjectBlank: Is this coming to market as a LeoFinance (Crypto/finance niche) microblogging venue, or a all-subjects venue? You often mention HIVE needing to be in this content format, and yet all the dialogue seems to be happening through the niche lens of LeoFinance. On the other hand, the fact that it will have its own token (rather than LEO) suggests an entity adjunct to, but separate from LeoFinance... but the airdrop is to LEO holders...
Just curious what the scope is likely to be.

I truly believe you it's been a lot of work, but what you're doing is amazing. Hive has never had anything similar, dbuzz doesn't even come close to this microblogging app, and the need for such an app was pretty clear. I am excited to put this to work. Taking the consideration the speed to which everything happens in crypto there will definitely be a demand for microblogging. My only fear is regarding spam. So far Leofinance has been quite clear of spam and I wouldn't want project blank to be the other way.

This amazing thing is about to kick off. I can't wait to post on ProjectBlank. The ability to interface with twitter, i think, is a massive plus. It means that content that normally do not appear here will not only find their way to hive but twitter users who are also blockchain and crypto enthusiasts will find reason to utilize the new platform.
One of the beauties of this time for me is that i have had three years to build my understanding and value of the blockchain space and i believe that though i am not as grounded as others on what obtains on a blockchain based platform, i have the requisite knowledge to utilise the opportunity. I hope other persons take advantage of how the Hive chain is opening up and not only build their crypto portfolio but also create amazing projects such as what @leofinance is doing with ProjectBlank

This is welcoming news. It's actually got me thinking about powering down Hive and going straight Leo finance.
I have a mixture of different things I like to blog about and micro blogging looks like it will expand beyond finance meaning I'm going to be able to upload my snaps.

I've just undelegated the LEO i had delegated to leo.voter so i can power them up. Does undelegating work the same as for Hive, so i can stake it in ?4 days time?
If you are delegating LEO it should already be staked. So it should count

This is going to be really awesome! I feel really sad because I didn't made more content for Leo to stake a little bit more in the time it was born, but I was kindly affraid of not have the content that people bring here, then I understand that anyone can post on Leo, you just have to investigate, read a lot and then prepare a great opinion about everything within the crypto world.
I feel happy for the work that you're doing because you're making a lot of noise within Twitter, people is excited to post in Leo and I'm excited too for the same reason, I feel it's like a fever that makes you want to grow up in here and become a powerful lion.
PS: One of my favorite animals IRL is Lion, lol, even my baseball team here in Venezuela it's called "Los Leones del Caracas" (The Caracas's Lions).
