Congrats. I will renew too. I really want to buy into the idea that if premium users earn more as a sort of benefit or incentive, they would be glad to renew once their current subscription expires. If its a marketing strategy to attract more premium users, then its Making sense.
So it can go like this , *Become a premium user>>>Create quality content>>>Earn more>>>Renew subscription>>>Repeat

Instead, we do manual curation based on quality of content. But if you're also a premium member, then we add a little extra to the upvote % we give you
Like a multiplier. If we would've upvoted you 10% because of quality, then being premium could get you a 20% vote instead since you've got quality + premium
You captured my point more correctly. A little more for being premium, it does not remove the fact that the curated post should be of standard quality.
The main idea of premium was not about votes anyway, but about unlocking advanced features. Whatever incentives come from voting are just "incentives" and not the main product.
