speaking of stablecoins - when bHBD repeg?
Where would you like to see HBD trading , on Cex or Dex ? Which one is better and why
HBD is offering 20% apr and its good, what do you think how long will it sustain ?
Depends upon how growth is.
i agree with @taskmaster4450. Let's create a webapp that would show the volume of HBD transacting on chain real time. It can include data from CEXes
My only question is....Where is the most in-depth explanation of the tokenomics of HBD, how it remains stable and how trading between HBD and Hive effects the value of Hive and the printing of HBD? Preferably written at a high school level... I know a bit about this stuff but not nearly as much as task or edicted
Which Stablecoin wohld you recommend to a newbie and why ?
Question
Have you thought about bringing another stablecoin like USDT to Hive as a synthetic token?
Do you think this would help the ecosystem in some way?
That is likely going to happen with something like VSC....to give a bridge in and out of the ecosystem.
That would be great, I have to update myself on VSC to know the benefits it plans to bring to Hive.
Just like Task said, would help in bridging. Other than that, probably not cos in my opinion synth tokens function is to lower fees and since Hive hasn't fees on internal market, it doesn't matter
The idea is that.
Yeah, so no extra value in addition to bridging
USDT is not great outside of CEXs
My idea went in another direction beyond the usefulness of USDT itself.
Yeah, certainly
Will VSC Network enable or help to enable somehow time vaults on Hive?
They are separate things.
But VSC is going to require HBD staked to run nodes. There will also, at some point, be HBD "power" similar to Hive Power.
Very good question! Locked staking is something that would be a very interesting option on Hive and in my opinion, would kinda fit well with Hive ecosystem.
VSC is gunna create demand for HBD, because you will have to stake if for resource credits.
I completely missed that. It definitely will.
yeah, had a long talk with vaultec about it at hivefest and i was immediately excited
Missed it live but watching now! Keep it up guys!
I really S.U.C.K at inviting people... Any advice?
Check out my second to last post about Ghana music. I wrote it to promote these rappers I like from Ghana and sent it to them, they retweeted to over 50k people. The only issue is that they don't have the blue checkmarks so it didn't reach all their fans, but got almost 80 views in the last 36 hours. Try something like this, write with certain people off chain, don't try to get them on hive, and leave a tiny bit at the end "If you are interested in joining this community, making interesting friends from around the world and earning a bit of spare change, click this link" and drop referral link. It's bound to work eventually!
I just started this method. I promise it'll at least get me a small handful of referels who get into hive
I Austria swapping crypto for crypto is not a taxable transaction so I can park my profits in a stablecoin of my choice and only pay taxes when I sell my stable.
austria and france
I have to do my research for France as I will be in the Fontaine Bleau area around October next year. Would be amazing to find a bakery that accepts $HBD and or $HIVE
A bakery in fontainebleau accepting hive is a big utopia, you will surely come back hungry.
I hope you will pass by Paris
We will for sure go for a daytrip there but we are there for the climbing ;) this was last year.
https://ecency.com/hive-101690/@solymi/fontainebleau-climbing-diary-day-2
i love those boulders , we have touched the same i bet
that is possible, we have been to many of the boulder areas
I know, I actually asked a few vendors if they would accept crypto but they refused.
Question would be, is this a security for example?
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/euro-tether
IDK, it is a digital currency so according to actual Austrian law it would not be a taxable event if I swap BTC for Euro-Tether
So strange, I should take the time and read all those laws and lazy Sunday. But there are so many great books that I still have to read too.
read the books, as long as you flip crypto for crypto in austria you are fine. Does not apply to your earnings from hive posts though. You would have to declare those as income and pay income tax on them. That is why I put every almost every HBD my posts make into savings. That is tax with social security paid. If they ever want it. If they say hey pay taxes I say: give me your hive wallet ;)
Afterwards I can keep the interest I made. Would I sell that I would have to pay 27,5% tax on that since it is interest. But the rest would be mine to keep...
My bet would that basically all crypto holdings that are not getting used to buy or rent real estate are currently dark.
Posted via D.Buzz
That could very much be the case.
Dan is kicking ass right out the gate!
I've given up on crypto. I respect people who are trying to build their projects, but I haven't really been convinced to engaged with anything other than Hive projects and Bitcoin since I got over my moonboy phase
What stablecoin does McDonalds pay Khal to wear the logoed hat?
$USDMc
burgercoin will be hahaha
MC Dollars 🤣 🤣
Hello to all friends from Cuba.
Hola!
I am not from Cuba both I will say Hello.
Sorry, I mean from Cuba to my friends.

Hey, man! Just used LeoFlow with my post editing, again! 😊
And again, superb work. 🙏
Thank you very much my friend, it's good that it's being of help to you, I've been away for days because I was repairing my house but I'm already working on LeoFLow to keep it updated.
I guess it's more work for you as Task keeps updating LeoGlossary too 🙂
Yes, it is quite complicated since the new terms are not organized in lists or have a pattern that I can automatically search for, it is being somewhat problematic, but it helps me learn more.
Yeah, a new challenge!
That's how I see it, it's fun to a certain extent
Edwin needs to do a podcast I love his voice!
Thanks Sol!
I come from the movie industry, your voice is golden for voice overs in commercials and all sorts of documentaries. You should be selling that as a service.
Edwin's voice needs to train the AI text to speech!!!!
YES! @alohaed! Next time anyone wants to be anonymous, just type and let @alohaed narrate!!!
Haha a little Ed goes a long way :) I try to get in and out!
Hey guys
Interesting crew you got here today!
yea, edicted voice reveal finally haha
I am buying $HBD for fiat in Vienna. If you need cash you can exchange! Just let me know up front how much you will need. Can go up to 1k HBD!
Let me know if you are in Tokyo after next Hive ATH, I'll be taking profits :-D
I really would love to visit Japan, they have some of the best boulder gyms out there and climbing has such a culture there. And I love the food! HIVE to the moon baby! I wanna go to Tokyo
they do?! Well I have a friend who goes bouldering in a smal place nearby. I haven’t tried…back issues, but I would love to. If you come let me know!
Can we talk about the mechanisms to preserve the peg of stablecoins?
I.e. burning
USDT is pretty popular in my country Libya. We almost treat it as dollar replacement.
How many people are in bitcoin there? What percent of the people around you?
I actually don't know how many, but there are "shops" that offer LYD <-> USDT services, and that doesn't happen if there wasn't any demand on it in the area, right?
(LYD = Libyan Dinar, our currency)
How much of your private portfolio is made up of stablecoins? Not only questions to the speakers, drop your thoughts!
Very little. I'm mostly powered up at hive/leo and in bitcoin. I will be taking profits this run though to buy back in during next bear
Wise decision. I am currently using my HBD income to do a lot of stuff. Premium sub, a ticket to @buzzparty and buying giftcards with v4v.app
I didn't know you could buy giftcards with v4v!
There is an app: https://app.thebitcoincompany.com/signup?ref=XC568X you can buy a bunch of stuff like prepaid credit cards, and giftcards for a wide variety of vendors. Also twitch for example.
Who is this Loop guy you are talking about? Nevaheard
I just saw the conversation...think he's a"Web3" influencer who told Dan that HBD is meaningless because it only trades 10k a day (but he was looking at external markets, not on chain activity)
Aaah... I see! There are only so little HBD outside Hive... but obviously people gonna look at that 😀
I followed the whole tweet on X. Dan schooled lopp on HBD but he was not ready to listen.
QUESTION
Do you think the social aspect of Hive will ever become less relevant as other types of products are built on it, or is it always gonna be the core of the blockchain?
I've heard many of the big stakeholders say (and I agree) that social will move more and more to second layer. I think it will take time though
it has been second to gaming for a long time for most people I think
It's easier to use USDT than actual USD in countries sanctioned by USA. (Or if you have family in such countries.)
The guy run away When he realized he is losing.
lets see who wins premium Subscription
Thank you everyone , see ya next time.
Thank you for letting me jump in!
Ofc! Thanks for jumping in!
You need to do your own podcast, you have an amazing radio speaker type of voice!
question

It is necessary to approach local businesses and present $HBD to them, explain its benefits and how it is growing, this can be done by any Hiver, we do not have to wait for the leaders to do it.
If we can get some to accept it, it will be the first steps to achieve a real adoption. After there are a few accepting it, it will be easier to convince others and create circular economies around the $HBD.
What challenges stablecoins are currently facing ?
$RUNE about to go above $6!
Good show, thanks guys!
This was a Awesome space.
See ya in next one with new topic.
lightning network is kind of a nightmare right now...... is it ever going to get better? :-(
It was fun to be here guys
Excellent space, thank you all.
Good one guys, see you next time
Thanks a lot for the space and threadcast! It was a good show!
Keep the questions about stablecoins coming in folks!
We need more $HBD out there!
Yes @task, anything that generates activity would increase value
Here comes the bass voice
Edwin, if I had a voice like yours I would monetize it asap.
Thank you!
Hi Chain Chatters! What's up?
Still don't have an X account lol... and InLeo's broadcasts are the only reason I might get one. Aside from Facebook years ago, Threads has been my only microblogging activity. Thanks Khal, this is all your fault. 😜
I still use Facebook occassionally, (mainly the messenger app,) but I practically don't use it anymore compared to before.
X is better, but not much better.
I do use WhatsApp for more direct communication. The biggest benefit of that one is the security. If Hive offered a similar app (which I believe would require a smart contract to ensure that the content of conversations is not posted on the chain), I'd be ok with using it too.
I believe Hive already has a private messaging app. Forgot the link though.
There's a public messaging app on PeakD, if you're interested in Discord-like app.
I did actually see that one, but it never seemed to work for me.
Haven't heard of the private one! That would be interesting to see.
After my 3 years in this space, I moved to another country and when I realized how hard it was to transfer my money from one country to another by traditional banking, I was totally baffled. "Why!?!?!"
Because everything (you, your property, your money) belongs to your government.
:-( true
Sad but true!
Because everyone needs to make money when you move your money.
I was used to Steem to SBD and I thought things moved around a lot easier. I could easily send $100 to a friend in Venezuela. I thought that must be harder by a bank but not THAT much harder. I think it's actually impossible lol
International laws... I guess.
yeah I understand that, it just seemed really silly considering how interconnected the economies have become
I had a similar issue when doing some freelance work outside of US. The fees for transferring my pay to me was almost 45% instead they set me an in house account and eventually crypto entered their eyes of course that is how I entered crypto.
Question
Can there be a peg that balances in when $HBD is scarce?
