I don't self vote, but then I don't really need to. I don't think it's a hanging crime, but we should generally leave it to others to decide our rewards. I did it back when I struggled to make anything.
Don't worry, I did it three times or more while checking the upvotes on my thread, and bang, it was a self-vote as a result. Now I don't bother to check the upvotes and prefer checking it on hive-now instead.
You can still check the votes, either via peakd or sloth.buzz

It's basically same as ecency. You get sloth for using it. I quite like it 😊

Not really sure actually. It seems to be a copy of the entire page just on another domain.
I checked it only the logo is changed; the rest is all the same.

Have done excatly the same. Hate it, would actually want it to be a pop-up or something that prevents someone to selfvote if it's not on purpose

I actually noticed that I had voted for my own post once. What a shitty feeling that was. And worse,it can'tbe undone 😳
I've done so accidentally, a couple of times. Usually because I was in a hurry and not paying attention. Since then, I've reactivated Keychain to "prompt" me on all activities so I can cancel before it happens!
I have never done it till now but I can understand your situation. It was not intentional sometimes it happens. We are human not a robot
