SteemitInc is a very controversial company that is basically owned by Just Sun now. It used to house the initial dev team of some Blockchain Tech, including the source code that was forked from STEEM to HIVE, but their COINS get forked out.
I know, but the show keeps pounding on this idea that hive is the one because it's not tainted by VC. However most of the tech came from Steemit Inc, the license and use of graphene as well as model from bitshares and other propietary tech developed in house by Steemit Inc.

Well yes, and a good chunk of that Dev Team is now KoinOS Group, also an interesting Blockchain Project.
