You are right. Obsession is frown up on. But no creative person came up with those mind blowing discoveries without being obsessed with their work. The world just have to make peace with that.

I believe creativity comes from a desire to play. It's like play intentionally put into a container that can achieve some purpose, even if it's just making someone cry or making them think

The creativity that comes from a desire to play is a cleaner, purer form, but what I find that helps me immensely sometimes is transmuting some 'obsessive' excess energy, that doesn't just allow you 'to be' into something creative - then the creative process takes that excessive energy that otherwise might express itself in a more toxic way and makes it into something more positive, something physical, tangible or artsy.. but as I said, that is by no means a 'pleasant, easy or straight forward' way to create.

It sounds like it could be a form of alchemy. If it helps resolve the obsession, why is it unpleasant?

I guess it depends, it's not always unpleasant, but it's more often than not very taxing (which you mostly only notice after the fact).. that's where the obsessiveness component comes in - you end up 'losing yourself' in the flow and only notice what it actually required from you after the fact. But that depends on how 'huge or massive' energies one is working with..

ahhh I see now, that flow state!

I wonder if it feels addictive because it feels not that easily attained. Like maybe if we could turn it on at will, it would be easier to turn it off at will.

That’s awesome though! That’s channeling. Why don’t you share any long form posts at Hive? What are you creating?

Aso I saw you subscribed to me…thank youuuuuu!!!!! 💜 💚
