I was searching for more ways to offer additional gigs online for money when i stumbled on an old micro sourcing website I use to use back in the days, then I remembered I used to offer blogging services to blog owners, writing content on several niche especially sports for about 10$ a week.
That was of course when SEO was huge when it came to blogging and this particularly reminds me of how crypto has changed everything. To me, the best education one can give oneself is the knowledge or ability to read, understand and comprehensively profer feedback through writing as this is the most basic skill to making money online.
Take a look at hive, many people are using their skills to earn here even more than their using their professions to earn in real-time. Some people with programming skills have found major jobs working on the internet, of which they've actually found it difficult to replicate in real-time. The second education one can give themselves is exposure. A lot of people got exposure by utilising the internet in a lucrative way.
Back in the days I only got gigs from Facebook, I mean writing gigs and it was constantly being on the internet that introduced me to blockchain. In the past in Nigeria, many people were comfortable sitting in offices, using their devices for whatsapp and other social shinanigans, they see browsing the internet as a waste of time or they see it for misfits and people who don't own any jobs.
The internet to them was mainly facebook and whatsapp and inasmuch as this was just aid to trade; perform professional duties, mailing, deliveries and probably online banking apart from these, to these real-time venturists this was the limitation. Nowadays though, an excellent exposure to the internet and internet tools is lucrative.
Decentralized social media will pay people for having excellent communication skills (not like I'm certain, but looks more like it) especially in a world where competition for these same skills in real-time situation is so high and exploitative. Awareness is one thing that has happened to a lot of people and this is something they've gotten through exposure to the internet.

I learnt crowdsourcing skills through the internet and while I was doing so I was actually earning too. I was able to put my social media accounts to good use, I built a sizeable followership and I started reviewing apps on Google play for some dollars on many crowdsourcing websites back in the days.
Through this, I found apps that pays people for reviews of hotels and rental services and I began to expand my horizons, I began commenting on YouTube videos for pay and even if the dollar value couldn't get one a rolls royce, it was almost more than my salary earning back in the days when I had a job. As a result of this, I got an idea of how internet money felt like, even when the wholegig thing was centralised, it was reliable and trustworthy and I earned that money.
The internet helps you to be different, it opens up your mind and you are exposed to opportunities, now imagine what a decentralised internet can do, what true ownership would feel like. The internet is already give a lot of people the scope to escape unemployment, People are putting their skills to use especially where there are hardly jobs in coperate entities to accommodate a whole lot of others.
Even someone retired and laying dormant in the hospital could now earn more passively more than someone who actively has a job and this might seem paradoxical but then its just the whole truth. The concept of money making is being redefined, crypto is providing an added opportunity to save, invest and own wealth in whats not fiat anymore and endlessly it continue.

I actually did quit that job, because it was not worth enough value for the time. Crypto is more rewarding on a long-term note.

Nice story and good job taking advantage of the internet to make money. The slow method of just doing a few gigs online for a few dollars wouldn't be worth it for me. But I do respect you for doing so. So I guess commenting on youtube videos was used by people to take advantage of the algorithm and get ranked higher. I guess they wouldn't mind paying a bit for that.

I used to do that in the past, I wouldn't really do that anymore, I was just explaining how the internet is filled with opportunity to make extra cash to people who would take advantage of it. You nailed it. Cryptocurrency (Web 3.0) is really opening the doors for us to contribute is so many different ways. At some point, everything we do will be rewarded. Stay at a hotel, leave a review and earn crypto. Do the same thing at a restaurant.
Our time and opinions are going to be rewarded. It is exciting to watch it unfold. Hive is in the early stages of this.
