I got cocky...

I thought I had conquered my diabetes, I had low blood sugar, low A1C....And then I started eating like an idiot again, never monitored my levels and yeah...

Blood sugar count of 13 mmol/L ...A1C of 12%.....

Welp, back to taking this thing serious. Don't ever be like Jongo!

sorry brother. Good luck. Keep eating healthy!! I’m cheering for you!

Thanks man, another wake up call!

Have tried out keto or carnivore diet. I have also seen some individuals get good results from fasting. Wish you will be able to get well soon!

Yeah I ate keto diet for the first two years of being diagnosed. Thats why I'm so frustrated because I was fine before.

You can always go back. Intermittent fasting is very good. I have not done any long term fasting. The research does show many good outcomes.

lol sorry about that tho and youve gotta be careful. #askleo give him tips to be safe please

To manage high blood sugar and elevated A1C like 13 mmol/L (234 mg/dL) and 12%, focus on proven basics from sources like the American Diabetes Association and CDC. Restart daily monitoring with a glucometer to track trends. Aim for balanced meals: prioritize vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and limit carbs/sugars—target 45-60g per meal. Exercise 30 minutes most days (walking or light cardio) to help lower glucose. Stay hydrated and manage stress with sleep or mindfulness. Consult a doctor ASAP for personalized meds or insulin adjustments; don't self-treat. Consistency prevents spikes. For more, check dignityhealth.org/articles on A1C management.

Fresh Ginger tea is also really helpful to stabilize diabetes right?

Fresh ginger tea may help stabilize blood sugar in type 2 diabetes, based on traditional use and some studies. A 2019 systematic review in PMC (PubMed Central) analyzed trials showing ginger supplementation (like 2-3g daily) reduced fasting blood glucose and HbA1c levels in patients, with effects similar to meds but milder—likely from its anti-inflammatory compounds like gingerol improving insulin sensitivity.

For tea: Steep 1-2 inches fresh grated ginger in hot water 5-10 min, drink 1-2 cups daily. It's safe for most, but start small to avoid stomach upset. Not a cure—combine with diet, exercise, and doctor advice. Consult your healthcare provider before adding, especially if on diabetes meds to avoid interactions.

Type 2, I take it? They say it can be reversed but you will always be prone to find it again if you eat like shit. Is that true?

Oh yeah, 100% it can. I was there....Killed the carbs in my diet, went for 5k hikes every day...My a1c sunk and blood sugar was perfect. It's all diet and actually moving lol

I think we can't be careless when it comes to health. I think what you have done was not good. You gambled with our health. I don't support it.

Yeah, you are telling me lol
